Pakistani contestant missing his wife....

Sikander left his wife behind in Karachi just 10 days after they wed. He performed "intehan ho gayi intezaar ki" from the movie Sharabi on the show which will be aired this Friday. The aspiring singer was determined to complete his meaningful performance despite not going according to the right song category and disapproval from the judges.

Sikander says, "I miss my wife. I have sung this song for her as she has no mode of contacting me. She doesn't even get Zee T.V. because there is no cable TV in the place where we live. Every two days I contact her through somebody else's cell phone. We got married on 3 April and after just 10 days I had to come here. At that time I did not know whether I could bring her or not but now I'm missing her very much. I was not even aware that my song had been rejected because I was missing Saba so much."

On a happier note, Sikander is pleased to be on the show because he is getting a good response. He says, "It's been great. Such shows highlight talent but we do not have them in Pakistan. Allah ki dua se, I'm getting good responses from the audience and of course the judges as well are supporting my talent."
