Rachana is a professional kathak dancer and for a dancer facial expression come along with dancing and we can see that in kalpi . Rachan is really good in intense scenes and she give kaate ka takkar to ashish and this is the main reason for wonderful chemistry of ragna.

Speaking about dancing, wouldn't be awesome to see her show some of that skill in the show. Talk about a way to leave Raghav spell bound ;)

Hey there,

I have read a couple of your posts and really enjoyed reading them.

I wanted to share my thoughts on your post, playing devil's advocate. I watched the episode online and I agree with you that the confession was not effective.

The third angle between a hot, popular lead is always disliked, distrusted or is at the very least treated with apprehension. If you have been on social media and on this forum you may be aware that the reasons for dislike in this case goes beyond onscreen characters, be it justified or not.

I myself am or was indifferent to Pakhi but Rakhi was, is and will always be an absolute NO for me. However, keeping those feelings aside, I felt Shirini was not too bad in her emotional scene considering this is her first role and possibly her first emotional breakdown scene.

Actually I thought Ashish too was average today considering his experience in the field.

Besides the below par skills of EMA editing department is well known. The feedback on social media might be affecting Ash-Shirini when they perform together also especially now. Then as you say, sometimes two actors just dont compliment each other.
Perhaps I am not impressed because the reason Raghav married Pakhi and his even sillier dialogues towards the end are beyond illogical and unconvincing so it affects my thoughts on any scene I watch these days.
@ blue - agreed again, hope this wraps soon because I dont want to see Rakhi together.

Yeah I know she is new which I why we can't really be too harsh on her acting. But it is obviously not registering well on screen so the directors should take it upon themselves to not stretch this track because the show has already hit a speed bump. :/

Ashish well I am a fan of him. He has a range of expressions which are a delight to watch. felt sorry for him today. I could see he had to put more into the scene because his co star wasn't delivering well enough.

Shirine is young and will get better as time moves along. Plus she shouldn't have to act that scene because Raghav and Kalpi was supposed to get married. Eheeheh 😛

umn..just made a post akin to this but much shorter (we must do something about all the numerous post/topics..we dont get to read all of them because there are so many and many are similar but with different headings)..

but to get back to your observation: here's what I posted in another thread: but I loved your more detailed points

acting chops, some have, others dont:

if you all noticed, Pakhi really did not have that much spotlight on her..whenever we were shown her character, there were always other important scnes going on..with the Jhadav family, Neetu politics, chawal atmosphere etc..more than being pissed with the ongoing Raghav-Pookhi scenes, what jars is the acting by this Pookhi character..she lacks depth and looks like she is merely parroting her lines and looks where she is told to look..she had tears when Raghav tells her his real intentions, but it did not look beleivable..she needs a hell lot more acting chops..look at Rachna's expressions..she speaks so much with her eyes when she is Kalpana..

This is not to bash anyone it was just an innocent observation.

But yeah, that confession scene with Raghav and Pooki. I didn't really feel anything while watching it. It was suppose to be intense and shock galore but I watched it and didn't feel anything. No shock. No surprise. No pity. And the reason is because of the acting.

Ashish is a man who has a wealth of talent and experience as compared to his young co star who plays Pooki. Yet regardless of the experience these actors know how to hold their ground. I did not see that today. Raghav's character totally overshadowed Pooki's. It felt as though he had to put more into the scene because she just was not delivering the intensity and range of emotion which the scene demanded. I watched the scene and felt as though I was in a rehearsal room watching two persons try to make a scene work. The characters in my opinion did not connect at all. There was nothing between them. Whatever they were trying to convey didn't register on screen and it's not the actors fault. Sometimes two actors just can't compliment each other.

This was a huge confrontation scene. I think it was suppose to be one of the most important scenes of the serial and it fell short.

Now I skip to the intense scenes with Ashish and Rachna. Just like Pooki she is also young. I think she has more experience than Pooki but at the same time she is up against this actor who is much more experienced than her. Yet, when I see their scenes she is just phenomenal. Young she is, but wow. She just holds her ground. Her delivery of the dialogue is impeccable. She shifts from hurt, to anger, to despair, adapting her acting to fit into the scene as it demands it. She manages to match Ashish's intensity so that Raghav's character is not able to overshadow hers. When he shines, she equally shines. They just compliment each other and it registers on screen so while when watching Raghav and Pooki I think they are acting, when I watch Raghav and Kalpana, I think it is so real.

And this is why I hope this track wraps up soon. The acting between Raghav and Pooki looks forced and I don't wanna see that for much longer.

Yes Rachna just says so much from her eyes alone. She smiles, cries and projects anger with her eyes alone. No need for dialogue. lol They truly made an excellent decision when casting her.

Honestly, and i don't know if anyone else gets this vibe but I wonder if they thought that maybe Raghav and Kalpana would not be this well liked. I wonder if it actually surprised these creators that RagNa has such a huge fan base. It seems like they had all intention of introducing Rakhi and possibly thought that the fans would prefer this pair.

I wonder if it really caught them off guard. lol.

Couldn't have said it better 😉 Paakhi failed to evoke any emotions from me except maybe constipated look 😆 😆 The onus of making that scene remotely watchable was on Ashish & he tried to give his best shot though he could have done better. Ashish excelled in the last scene with his mother 😳
