Agree on mnost of the point Purple MKB😉 I mean Piya😆
I hope I have not goofed up ur name😳😆

Barkat track looked kind of interesting n promising at first...but now its been dragged to the very limit...n in the process the characters traits are getting suffered as collateral damage!!

Especially coming to Zain n Suraiyya...two of the most sharp n logical brains are reduced to act all weepy n illogical...why?? bcoz the long lost daughter is back?? does that justify them blinding believing every words Barkat says...

Suraiyya who earlier just by seeing the *X" marked calender, utilized a good opportunity to send Aaaliya packing..now is reduced to tears!!!

N Zain??? the guy who was sharp enough to handle all kind of situations... doesnt find anything fishy abt his sis...cummon is he that blind.

N how come only Aliya is the one who notices all the fishiness...is she superwoman or something?? has others gone blind-dumb-deaf??

Nafisa-Shazia: these two were sharp enough to be suspicious abt Barkat initially...now they find nothing fishy abt Barkat wen she promises them her share without any motive!!!

Dont get me started on Fahad, this was who recently redeemed himself..is back to square one!!!

Edit:

Also agree to Mandy here...they tend to forget Ayaat-Rizwaan in all this circus..how come they simply pop-up out of now where n then suddenly go underground...are they not effected by all these tensions..why ignoring them!!!

Absolutely bang on. A track that makes sense, that fits in with characters which have already been etched, would not be received so negatively. I see three major issues with this track:

1. Zain and Suraiya's characters as you have mentioned - very disappointing to see this. If Osman also turns against Aliya, I think I will definitely think of stopping watching this show.

2. Aliya and Zain's relationship and the way it is being portrayed - it is sort of trying to play out the Barkat track, but also add romantic masala to keep the younger audience interested. I was highly addicted to another serial which tried to pacify its viewers through this kind of method (not naming names, but obvious from my siggy!) and I believe this is bad in the long run, because when it all comes down to it, you have no progress in story, and you have nothing to show. It becomes kind of illogical and sort of like you are watching two different serials beyond a point - one where Zain thinks he is in love with her for some reason, and one where he can mistrust her to this extent. More than anything, Aliya and Zain had made promises to one another never to hide anything. I can understand Aliya's point of view that Barkat is his sister and he might not take it kindly, but I still think she should be shown atleast thinking of speaking to him. A deeper bond is not being shown between them at all, and the balance in their relationship (which I love) is being lost.

3. Barkat herself - no offence to Dimple, and I am not sure if it is her or the way the character is written, but I hate the OTT, the drama, the talking to the audience. I began watching Beintehaa (against my better judgement, thanks to a previous experience) because it was hatke. Today when I see it turning into stupid kitchen politics and saas-bahu crap, I hate it. I feel completely disconnected. More so because Zain and Aliya's intelligence was a big appeal for me, and it feels like they are being taken in by this nonsense. I hate that. I don't watch Beintehaa either for this Barkat crap, or for some romance scenes thrown in to make me go 'ooh' and 'aah'. The cast, the way the story was written, and the characters really appealed to me. Nothing about this Barkat track appeals to me.

I would give this a week more maybe, max 2 weeks. If this is how it will continue, I would much rather not watch.

Plz make sure this is seen by the makers they need to

  • wt happened to Zain the person who stood against his own mom at times
  • Suraiya she was sharp n now she is only show an an emotional fool
  • Shazia/Nafeesa
if the makers w/o getting so scared of IPL n all continued with the original story this would have not happened as if the story is gripping and interesting irrespective of other factors people would have watched

N i guess they chose Dimple because she been a senior actor they might have thought that they can gain viewers casting her but unfortunately it back fired big time and the TRP's too reflect it

The CVs need to see this post and see where they are going wrong. The track started out fine, it grabbed viewers interest but that slowly died thanks to many characters falling victim to being destroyed to accommodate Barkat's track. Watching BI these days is just not the same, the Barkat track has been stretched to such an extent where its become unbearable to watch.
