| John Abraham After Ash-n-Abhishek it was time for the Bollywood's sexiest couple John-n-Bips to walk the French Riviera and promote their movie 'Goal'. Bollywood is just not happening at Cannes and we asked John on why he thought that there were no takers for Bollywood, to which the actor retorted, "Give Indian movies five to seven years and then, the foreign audiences will start appreciating our cinema." John also expressed that Bollywood was going through a transition and he was very much a part of thzt phase which he described as the "Bleeding period." John said that he aims at attempting unconventional cinema like Deepa Mehta's 'Water' and now her International project titled 'Luna'. 'Luna' is based on the American activist Julia Butterfly Hill, who lived barefoot on a tree, named 'Luna' to prevent loggers of the Pacific Lumber Company from bring it down. John is paired opposite the gorgeous Rachel Weisz of 'Mummy Returns' fame in 'Luna'. John also added that the filmmakers in Bollywood are all set to experiment with novel ideas and he doesn't want to be a part of the movies inspired by Hollywood. Looks like our Johnny sure seems to have forgotten his 'Taxi' ride in 'Taxi No. 9211' which was inspired by Hollywood blockbuster 'Changing Lanes'. |
