Jodha Akbar 12th May 2014 Written Update

The episode starts with Jodha taking blessings from her relatives. (A sad Vidaai music plays in background). She hugs her mother, grandmother, aunt, father. All are emotional and teary-eyed. They bless her. Maina does aarti of Jodha. Jodha's brothers also take blessings from all. Jodha takes her Kanha moorthy in her hands and takes blessings from it. Then she goes and sits in her palanquin (paalki). She looks out from her paalki for last time and bid bye to all her family members. They also give her blessings. Jodha and her brother start their journey for Agra.

*Next day morning*

Jalal asks Atgah Sahab so as to why DeK has been called. Atgah replies that there is a special reason for it. He says that the hindu people of the Sultanate want to meet the Emperor and thank him because he removed the Teerth Kar. They want to present nazraana (gift) to you. Jalal replies calmly that I just performed my duty and I cannot accept any gift for this. Atgah says that Pardon! But I don't think you'll be able to refuse the gift. Jalal nods a yes.

Adham khan says in a low tone that now DeK is called only for such things like accepting gifts. Shareefuddin laughs and says that..when you know that you don't have the power to protest, why do you boil your blood for that. Its better that we enjoy what's happening.

Some hindu people come in the court and greet the king. They say.. what you have done for us Shahenshah..we are heartily thankful for that. Jalal says that this was my duty so I did it. People say.. understanding this duty is itself a big thing. Today you have taught the whole world that everyone has the right to do their worship of their own accord, in their own way, in their own wishes. Your this deed will always be remembered. It will always enlighten various religions. By removing Teerth Kar, you have not only showed your graceful heart, but also have removed a big financial problem from our heads. Jalal says that a king is like a father to his people. Its his duty to understand the problems of his people and take care of them. I hope I keep fulfilling my duties and keep my people happy. People say that they have brought a small gift for their great king. Jalal says that your people's blessings and love are enough for me, I really don't need any gift.

Hindu people bring in the divine Quraan Shareef and Jalal gets happy. Jalal and everyone else get up. One of three maulvis says that its Hindu people's trick to please Shahenshah and trap him in their favour. Jalal says that you were right Atgah Sahab. I cannot refuse this gift. Jalal takes his crown off and goes and bends to Quraan Shareef. Hameeda and rest all join him in the prayer. Everyone prays.

Akbar's soul says that... that day I realized that the moon which comes out for Muslim people's Eid is the same moon for Hindu's festival Karwa chauth. I realized that when God himself hasn't created any religious walls/boundaries, we are still his people, so how can we create such religious differences. That day my prayer to Allah was only that..please forgive my deeds and send Jodha Begum to Agra as soon as possible.

Ruqaiya is arranging for a chess game when Jalal comes into her chamber. He says you called for me? Ruqaiya comes to him and runs her hands around his neck. She says Yes I missed you so much Jalal. I am so proud of you. By removing this Teerth Kar, you have done a very big thing. Jalal says Strange! You are so happy. But there are people, who are still unhappy about this. They think that I have taken this decision to please people. Ruqaiya tells him that don't think so much Jalal. It doesn't matter what people think or say. I believe you and I know that you won't ever take any wrong decision. See for yourself, people's happiness is speaking for your decision that its absolutely right. Jalal says thanks but I think I have delayed this thing. I should have taken this decision long back. Ruqaiya asks Matlab? Jalal says if you remember, me and Jodha Begum once went on a visit to Sheikh Salim..there I myself became a witness to the problem caused by this Teerth Kar. I should have taken this decision then itself. Ruqaiya smiles and says No problem Jalal! Better late than never. Now we should celebrate for this decision. Come with me, lets play a game of chess. Jalal says I would have definitely played the game Ruqaiya but I right now I have to go for some important political matters. He gets up to go when Ruqs calls back saying today I won't listen NO..you care for everyone's happiness except mine. I am your closest friend, your Begum-e-Khaas, still you don't care for me. Jalal smirks, comes backs and agrees for one game only. Ruqs becomes happy and says ok. They start playing when a maid enters with a message/paigaam. Ruqs shouts on the maid that I don't like disturbance when I am with Shahenshah. Jalal says that this much anger isn't good Ruqaiya. Jalal asks the maid and she says that a message has come for you from Amer. Ruqaiya says what if it's a paigaam...it can be read later also! Jalal says that No! Its from Amer. It can be a serious issue. Jalal gets up and leaves whereas Ruqaiya is all frustrated. Ruqs thinks to herself that she has gone from here, but still she is keeping away Jalal from me. Jalal receives the letter/paigaam from the soldier and directly goes to Ruqaiya to get it read by her, for him. Ruqs argues about the game of chess and Jalal promises her that he'll play two games later. Ruqs starts reading the letter.

The letter goes this way - Its such a pleasure to tell you Shahenshah that Jodha has decided to leave for Agra. (Jalal smiles immensely. He is very happy.) Jodha has left for Agra even before this letter could be sent. By the time, this letter will reach to you, Jodha would have completed a big part of her journey. God bless you. Raja Bharmal.

Jalal is immensely happy. He says this means Jodha Begum has forgiven me. He thanks Allah. He holds Ruqs by her shoulders and says I cant tell you how happy I am right now Ruqaiya. You have read the best paigaam of my life. He takes the letter and leaves from there. Ruqs is all furious. She throws the chess pieces away. She shouts out loud JODHAA BEGUMM. I hate you, your name and your very existence.

Jalal runs to Hameeda and informs her that Jodha is coming to Agra. Hameeda and Salima are very happy upon this. HB asks Salima to pinch her so that she can confirm that this is reality and not a dream. Jalal says that this is real Ammi-Jaan. He says I knew my crime was a serious one and I also knew that you would forgive me one day. Hameeda says that whatever has happened in past, we shouldn't worry about it. I hope you and Jodha take lesson from this incident and learn to trust each other and make a new beginning. I also want that the beginning of this new beginning should be very beautiful. I want that Jodha should be welcomed grandly. Jalal is very happy. He says Sure AmmiJaan... Jodha Begum.. My wife, your daughter, Agra's noor is coming back. Sure her entry will be grand. Only because of her, have I been able to rule people's hearts. People take me as their Zil-e-Ilahi. I assure you that her entry would be very grand. This date would be remembered. He asks Salima to take care of the arrangements regarding Jodha's room. Salima assures him. Salima says that I am so happy after seeing you happy. Jalal says that I am really very happy. I am realizing such feeling for the first time and I want to live this. Jalal hugs HB and leaves from there.

Jalal has called some important people in DeK. He gives various responsibilities to them regarding Jodha's welcome. He asks Atgah to send some horsemen towards Amer way as he wants to know about Jodha every hour. Shareef thinks to himself, I am happy that you are coming back Jodha Begum, but the problem is, you are coming in Jalal's life and not mine. Jalal asks Maan Singh to welcome Jodha in a Rajvanshi way. Your aunt is the pride of this Palace and no hinderance should come in between her welcome. Jalal asks Shareefuddin to decorate whole Agra like a bride. He says Jodha Begum should know that whole Agra is celebrating for her arrival. He says to Todarmal that he himself would welcome Jodha on Agra palace's gate. He asks Todarmal to check everything once again. Everyone has left one by one and only Maham is left. Jalal says to himself, You don't know Jodha Begum how happy I am today. My heart is feeling so relieved.

Hoshiyaar informs Moti that Jodha Begum is coming to Agra. Moti is very happy. She thanks Kanha and says to Hoshiyaar that we should decorateJodha's chamber soon now. Moti opens the window and says.. Jodha...your coming means entry of light into the region of darkness. Salima enters Jodha's room with all the maids. Salima, Moti and all other maids decorate Jodha's room with flowers.

Jalal comes out on the main entrance. He is very happy and excited. He is happy seeing all the arrangements. He asks Atgah whether the horsemen have been sent or not. Atgah says everything has been taken care of Shahenshah and I am very happy to see you so happy. Jalal says you are right! I am very happy. From the moment Jodha Begum left from here, I had lost all the hopes but now that she is coming, my heart is so happy. He says to Atgah I cant tell you how happy I am and hugs Atgah. Episode ends on his happy face.

Precap : Jalal and Ruqaiya are in a balcony. Ruqaiya tells to Jalal that you are so impatient about meeting Jodha Begum. Even I am happy but waiting for her so impatiently this way will not make her reach early here. Jalal says you are right Ruqaiya but I have no control over my heart. I have no mood to talk to anyone or to do anything. If only I want to do something is to see my Jodha Begum.😳
