I highly doubt that !!.. ur evidence to support the statement?.. whatever it b, dont believe it..those "ancient mytho shows" never/rarily tampered with the authenticity of our religious texts and well we all know dkdm has gone off to the deep end in ruining the authenticity of our religious texts due to their infamous creative liberty.. thus, it can never b in the same league as those shows regardless of trps n audience loyalty which again is very questionable..

Veds, scriptures and purans are believed to be produced by Gods.
Shiv Puran itself is the creation of Lord Shiva himself, the mystical wisdom crafted in words, moulded into one hundred thousand couplets or quartets (Shokas), divided intro twelve chapters (Samhitas); and first revealed in grace to the creator, Lord Brahma who relayed it to his favoured son, Narada. Then, it was relayed on in succession to Sanat Kumara and Ved Vyasa.

I agree some twisted people have used it to propagate some religious myths but in the larger sense it is not to be messed or played around with.

I am not in favor of so many distortion in the storyline because the actual stories itself have enough beauty and mysticism which if captured well would make for great viewing on celluloid.

DKDM is NOT in the league of either Ramanad Sagar's "Ramayan" neither Chopra's "Mahabharat" which are way superior but yes in the current context it did gain eye balls and success to reintroduce mythos and historical back to Indian Television for that DKDM can be credited for.

not in terms of story.. but impact.. (don't confuse wid disappearence of ppl frm the streets nad so on)

the context of those myhtos and the current ones are very different..
people's perceptions.. their views towrds God have changed since the 80s//

now a days we sit to analyse the actions of Shiva Ram Krishna... and such an impact is visible wen i see teenagers watching shows like DKDM and MB and having mess table discussions..

the success of a show lies in its impact.. and imact in turn depends on the societal mindsets from time to time... it depends on the level of awareness...

now a days ppl don't follow the scriptures blindly.. neither they follow a show blindly..

and wat we get to read is the twisted versions of those ppl only... and its further twisted by DKDM..😆😆

if we can argue and fight over twisted versions.. its better to sit peacefully and watch or not watch DKDm

@ bold.. can u blame these people, these teenagers?.. I think in the current scenario, it has become important for youngsters to not to follow anything blindly owing to the many varied distorted n newer versions of our religious texts being presented to them through various mediums..in the older days, since everything was authentic nobody bothered with questioning bcoz they knew they can trust what they c on screen..sadly today's youngsters must find the authenticity on their own..the only way to which is questioning everything n finding the answers urself..nothing can b taken at face value..dkdm is living proof of this unfortunate scenario!

on the contrary.. this wat even the Purans teach no..???
find the truth on your own.. Purans Vedas epics.. these are only the "Way" to reach the truth and Not the truth..

and as regards to teenagers since they can connect to a show so they deliberate upon it..

you are happy not watching it..

and I am extremely Happy that you don't..

" you are not watching it and I am extremely happy you dont "

Funny how people find " happiness" in weird places n for weird reasons..but its really a personal call..different minds work at different frequencies.. this difference is what makes the world around us all the more intriguing..
