I was and still am confused over that part. Who did Alka phone? Was it Girish? Girish made it seem like he was/ going to receive all the insurance money, so how could this have benifitted Alka? In fact, she boasted of receiving a much higher rate for selling the store, so why burn it?

Yea it is good his true colors have been unveiled, hopefully with the wedding, Robbie or Kasturi will showcase Girish's real deeds and thoughts.
