I think its just double standards by Singhanias. They expect Devyani to accept rude Naitik (he doesn't even talk to her properly on a daily basis!), sulky Rashmi and the rest of the family like her own. They are ok with Naitik and Rashmi absolutely not warming up to Devyani or calling her mom (that they wont force because its their own family behaving in a completely annoying way) but have a big problem if Devyani's own children want to get to know their mom. Here they will keep reminding Devyani to be careful and rishtey blah blah blah lecture to the extent that she isn't even talking to her kids who live in the same house (that is extremely strange!). If she talks to her children and spends time with them who/what is she ignoring? Is she a slave in the family?

Only Akshara seems sensible. Given Daddaji's health shouldn't RB take charge and be more assertive and make the family understand as an elder who is sensible and wise? He seems to empathize with the situation but does not know how to make a point and convince everyone!

I mean how stupid and narrow minded can people get? Relationships are a two way street. Only one person cannot keep maintaining them. Progressive behavior is what they need to show in a serial and not regressive behavior!
