" Sanyu, kya chemistry thi tum donon ke beech mein yaar! Mindblowing!"
" Sanyukta, we just kept watching and craving for more and we didn't realise when the song ended! We just kept humming and moving and lost ourselves int he dance completely.. "
" Superb Sanyukta! The song ended and both of you didn't move an inch. You were lost in each other and we were lost in your dance. Feels like it ended so early..."

" Sanyukta! Fabulous job! You are not only a good choreographer but also a good performer on stage. Randhir and you just took away each and everyon'es breath. Nobody got to know that you were not the actual dancers! Im so really proud of you dear! " said Mrs. Malhotra.
" Sanyukta? Im talking to you.. Where are you? Hello! " she continued.
" Uh? Umm.. Yeah Mrs. Malhotra! Thanks a lot for your encouragement. Thankyou. " was all I could manage. I got to my heels not wanting to undergo further interrogations.
I walked down the back stage and left from the back gate. I entered the other side of our campus, the dinner section. I was just walking past many things and nothing just mattered. I stumbled into a tree branch lying down and woke up from my reverie. The first thing that occured to me was the construction site and the way I fell into the pit hole. Then my thoughts drifted towards Randhir...
Pehli nazar mein kaisa jaadu kardiya.. tera ban baita hain mera jiya... They suited us so perfectly. He and I danced to one of my favourite songs till date. Randhir... He caressed my cheeks and my arms.He snaked his arms around my waist and I trembled against his skin. His touch.. so protective, strong and feathery at the same time.. He looked into my eyes as he held my hands and I could feel my knees go weak.. He bent me down and bent over me.. So close that our breaths were one and our bodies, tangled. He held me firm and neared my ears.. He whispered Baby, I Love You and I melted in his embrace. I couldn't help the blush grace my cheeks as the flashes appeared in front of my eyes.
I shut them close and held my dupatta tightly as I felt my chest heave with pleasure. Randhir, I said as my lips curved into a smile.
Randhir! OMG! Where is he? And my smile, turned into a frown. He and I bowed to the audience, we got down together, I was just walking unsconsciously and he didn't seem to be present after that!
I checked the whole campus. The eatery, canteen, back stage, auditoriums, rehearsal rooms, washrooms, classrooms, his dorm, everything and I found him no-where. I was getting tensed now. I saw Keerti with her gang. Varun was home. Randhir wasn't with them. So where was he? I started panicking all of a sudden. I checked the campus again expecting him to be some where. I checked the near by shops and places and he was not seen. I couldn't take it anyore.. That Painful Absence, took away my life bit by bit and every passing second seemed difficult to breathe.
I entered back into the campus. Its been an hour and he still isn't here. I could ask no one for help. Akshay and Sanjana were busy hosting. The party was still on. I walked past the stage and entered the rehearsal hall. I was pacing in the room endlessly when someone suddenly caught hold of my hand. I smiled inwardly at the touch.
I turned back and lost myself in the pair of eyes looking into mine.
"I love you..."
" What? "
" You said I love you. "
" You love me ?"
" No.. I mean ye... I mean not... I don't know.. "
" Stop confusing me and get to the point please! "
" You said that you love me. "
" When did I say that? "
" During the dance? "
" Which dance? "
" Our dance.. "
" When did we dance? "
" Just now... an hour back! "
" What the hell are you saying?"
" YOU DID SAY YOU LOVE ME RANDHIR!!!! I HEARD YOU! DON'T FOOL ME! YOU WERE CLOSE ENOUGH FOR ME TO SHIVER AT YOUR BREATH! NOW PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE YOU SUFFER FROM MEMORY LOSS! PLEASE... PLE... " said the vulnerable girl standing in front of him as he stood helpless seeing her break into tears...
" Sanyukta... "
" Don't fool me Randhir! Im done with these games of yours. I have been searching for you from an hour and now you come and play these cheap tricks with me? What do you exactly want huh? " I said as I cried un-stoppably.
" Sanyukta.. Sanyukta.. SANYUKTA! LISTEN!"
" Uh? "
" Have you lost it? What have you been saying? Why are you crying? Look here and tell me what's wrong. " said Akshay in a protective tone.
" Akshay? You? What are you doing here? " I said as I wiped my tears.
" I was sent to search for the next batch to perform on stage. Now you tell me what happened? "
" Uh.. Nothing.."
" Are you alright? Do you want something? Can I help you in anyway? " asked Akshay.
" No thanks Akshay. Im perfectly fine. Thanks." I said.
" You sure? "
" Im positive. "
"Okay then, I still have hosting to wind up with so I gotta go. You please take care and I'll be around so come to me when you need anything. Okay? "
" Yup. Sure. Thanks Akshay. "
" Okay, catcha later then..."
" By the way Akshay... "
" Yeah? "
" Did you by chance see Randhir anywhere around? "
" Umm... No Sanyukta.. After your dance, definitely No. I thought I saw you both leave together? "
" Yes, we did but then we parted ways unknowingly.. "
" Oh.. So any problem? Need help? "
" No no, I was just asking. He must be some where around. I'll find him myself. Thankyou. "
" Okay, bye then. See you at the dinner. "
" Yeah, sure. Bye. " I said.
Akshay left and I was still worried about him. Where else should I search for him? Where would he go? Why didn't he tell anybody? I will never understand this guy.
After an hour------
" Sanyukta, you are here! Akshay was searching for you. Come lets have dinner. "
" Arreeyy, No, Sanjana. Im really not in the mood to have dinner. "
" Why won't you? You didn't have anything since lunch! You even danced on stage. You must be exhausted, come have something and you will feel better. "
" Sanjana is right, Sanyukta. " siad Akshay.
" But, Akshay... "
" No if's and but's. You are coming and that's final. "
" Okay.. I'll be there in 10 mins. You guys go first. "
" You sure you will join us? "
" Yeah, I will. "
" Okay then, we will be waiting. " said Akshay as he left with Sanjana.
Where is this guy? He is getting on my nerves these days. He left his bag and all his belongings here and he himself is missing! He is late to dinner too.. Where did he go? Why isn't he here yet? I paced the room for another 5-6 times and decided to join Akshay and Sanjana. Akshay would help me search him.
I turned to leave the room and my dupatta got stuck in the door's knob... I turned back to free it and I stood stunned at that sight with shock and tears in my eyes...
