Now I want her to be brought DOWN!!

Yes control!... It is hard for anyone to control when you see that perfect body of KVB's! I love the new BG. "junoon Tere Ishq Ka"! I love the word junoon! I think that is how this love story will be. Once Sanam finds out who Aahil is and how his mother is connected to her past, she will surely reject him?? Then we will get to see the "Ishq Ka junoon" from Aahil. Gul PLEASE don't rob us of that this time! I have watched your shows since 2011. 3 years of investment. It is time for a return gift my lady!! Lol

Agreed.
This is good for SJ as an actress, she rocked at being Zoya and now she owns Sanam also.
I guess it's time for your return gift now. My journey started with QH and watched IPK after Tanu's entry in QH.

the junooni ishq has begun with the eyelock and MA what beautiful eyes SJ has and how intense can KVB look ! had no idea about this guy !
The range of emotions in his eyes were superbly portrayed ...for a brief second it seemed he will unravel the mystery before him by removing the dupatta but the magic spell would have broken so he didnt do that ! the intensity is scorching and it will burn us for sure this summer !
A very sufiyana BG tune sets the mood and we look forward to more !
like you said we need to treat this as a separate entity in order to enjoy the show . completely agree ! the characters will take some time to settle in .

Thank you... the biggest USP of this show will be the SaHil chemistry. I am amazed how Gul manages to do it every single time. She is very good at casting... she knows what she is looking for and then the actors deliver. And yes for my own sanity I am treating it as a completely new show.

I am so happy to see u back on the forum. I am enjoying SaHil for sure. The rest of the new cast pales in comparison to the previous casts that Gul has used and as u said, we will just have to get used to them. Only if they showed more of Rehaan, I could put up with more of the non-sense of the Ibrahim household.

And my Queen is back. Thank you. I am also happy to be back and am really enjoying SaHil. so far QH2 is looking good. Rehaan might turn out to be a grey character... that is if he is Billi's son. But if he is to be paired opposite Haya, then he can't be Billi's son. But they can change the father from Imran to someone else also.

That said the only saving grace for this show is karanvirs and sjs chemistry. They are good even if the scenes are the standard 4lions romance formula.

Agreed that the biggest USP of this show will be SaHil. But pri, in most of contemporary Indian soaps even after 2 generational leaps the setting is still the same. I guess this is how everybody does it.

Why are Sanam's English language skills and accent are like this? And soup's question as to why Dilshad's accent did not rub off on her?

Sanam was raised in Moga, punjab which seems to be a small village whereas Bhopal is a big city, the capital city of M.P.

Dilshad is no longer young. Her entire world collapsed within a span of a few days. She lost the love of her life Rashid to Tanu, she lost both her kids (this loss is incomparable)... she was broken beyond mending. They were penniless and she was hiding, first few years must have been very traumatic; she didn't have the money to feed the kids, add to that Haya's condition, so the kids must have studied in a local punjabi medium school.Correcting Sanam's language skills and diction was not a priority for her.

When she was raising Asad and Najma, Rashid was alive, she had hope, she was in her city and also had a point to prove. In Punjab her first priority was their safety by virtue of anonymity.

Imagine immigrant parents(from UK) come to US and settle here. Their kids will not have a British accent but will have an American accent because of the schools and other social conversations. And if they themselves teach their kids Hindi/punjabi at home their kids will most likely have that accented Hindi/punjabi. Schools and geography matter a lot.

From narrative point of view.

  • In order to separate the character of Sanam from Zoya this was important.
  • This will separate Sanam from Seher also.
  • It tucks at our heart when we see her speak like that as we imagine what it would have been like had she been raised by AsYa.
  • It will make for an interesting story between SaHil. Completely opposite yet made for each other.

Jee ...mohetarma...
