Dil, dosti, DANCE, the show which expresses its each and every emotion through dance. Off lately the dance factor has been royally ignored from the show and musical was the ray of hope that may be dance, their passion will be back in the show. But too much of my disappointment the musical was totally disconnected in each and every aspect. I will try to summarise with few points.

  • First and foremost d3 is a story about the gang and their passion for their dancing. I won't take any story about the three year old description of what was show all about. Many things have been changed in these three years. Is it fair to show the journey from a particular character's eye that was not even present in more than half of the story? Instead of that ReYam would have been better option to persuade the musical journey. Truly they have been the back bone of the whole gang and no one can deny this fact. Leave aside that they were not even given a duet together. The whole concept looked like a journey through "blind eye" to me.
  • Next was poor narration. Throughout the musical I was not at all feeling anything. I thought that I will remember past memories and fights of dazzlers and weaklings, but the story looked so distorted and rushed that I just couldn't feel anything.
  • Camera work was completely pathetic. _/\_ I just couldn't see anyone's faces or dance steps due to poor camera work. I really can't understand why do they shoot from so far angles?
  • Choreography was also a big disappointment. It was not according to d3 gang's standard. No doubt dhoom again was rocking and dazzlers literally killed it. But again due to poor camera work the impact was not effective.
  • Bad song selection for weaklings was another blunder. Khubiyan is an amazing song, but it was certainly not a good choice to perform, especially for weakling boys. It looks like the song has been selected after so much of hard work to take revenge from weakling boys.
  • Basket ball court dance was also ruined by the pathetic camera work.

In short, I didn't enjoy the musical at all. Somewhere everything was disconnected. It is really a pity for actors and most importantly these dancers to waste their talent like this. Due to poor camera work and to some extent choreography the gang was struggling from their own set standards. Who will say that today's choreo or camera work can give takkar to the previously done face offs or footloose performances. Last face off performance with kr college was awesome. But today everything was a big letdown. Atleast try to maintain the dancing standard of the show.

Ps- apart from vruhsika's hawwt performance in dhoom again and face off, nothing was worth watching.

WOW!
I completely agree with each n every point.. it all makes sense to me ...
you hav rightly defined the meaning of D3..
today's episode was bland.. let alone the issues with solos n duets., the overall musical dint appeal to me ...
like u said, pathetic camera work, bad song n poor narration choices RUINED the whole show..
i seriously hated the weakling's song 🤢
I dunno .. i didnt feel the same ibe while watching, prolly coz i expected ALOT more ..
dance has been royally ignored for months n this musical was a golden opportunity to revive dance but that sadly dint work. this was my pov as a general viewer

now as a swaron fan i would like say that im upset with sidelining of sharon n swayam.. i feel all leads DESERVED solos .. ek reyam duet toh dete,, they have given three years to the show 🥱

i agree with the sharon./vrushi part..
she was HAWWWT.. loved her expressions, dancing n attitude.. vrushi is a rockstar

The choreography was such a big let down other than dazzlers performance... 🥱
Really expected something in a huge scale from D3 and the output is so 🥱
None of the major aspects being highlighted and everything being shown in jet speed...
Seriously that basketball face of shud hv been for a bit more coz dazzlers Vs. Weaklings was a really main point of D3!!!

I totally agree. The musical was overhyped and disappointing. Vrushika was the show stealer though. Her dance and attitude was beyond perfection. She is truly a star!
