Wow, today the CVs really wanted to challenge me to do a take 5! Today, the story definitely moved with Maham Anga's plot and Shivani-Tej getting caught. 👏 But, what an episode, they neither spared Jodha or Jalal.
My vent (after all I am human too!):
My issue with Jodha is not her hurt or not returning with Jalal. Even yesterday, I defended Jodha that she is hurt- and sadness, anger, denial, and ego are all steps of recovery, likely even before she can admit her mistake again. She is slower then many would like , but she has always been slow to realize her emotions.
But, today, I have two questions for Jodha:
- If Jalal's accusations are the most traumatic, emotional hurt you have faced ... When the name of Sujamal comes up, and you have two minutes, would you be busy defending Sujamal or remembering the hurt you had felt?
- You used to criticize Shivani's actions and now you are defending them ... What has changed? Okay, say she now understands love better and that is the reason she is defending Shivani today ..., then say that, because just suddenly saying something opposite does not make sense. But didn't she understand love then as well, Hakim Mirza's love? For Jalal, they show how he thinks about Hakim Mirza's words and that is why he has changed his view on Shivani-Tej. For Jodha, you can guess whatever you want.
I will only see what I see ... I can't make things up to defend Jodha's actions. If Jodha is hurt about all the things that happened to her in Agra in her first year of the wedding, I need to see her think about those hurts or mention it ... Not just think about that one accusation. She refers to this as only one agnipariksha, not multiple agniparikshas.
And yes I have issue with Jalal today, I don't only have issues with Jodha. I have issues with both as they come up. On Jalal, my issue is not his forgiving Shivani-Tej at all ... He has forgiven his relatives like Bakshi Bano before. He can understand their love and their tough position and forgive them. He can consider their age and forgive them. It can also be because of how he has learned about love for Jodha Begum. He has every right to, he is human. But, his dialogues were abysmal ... Did he actually ask , can I punish Hakim Mirza and Hamida Bano for their Mohabhat? Did I hear that right? How is that any apples to apples comparison? Did their Mohabhat hurt the izzat of the Mughal Sultanate? No!
If I were Adham Khan, I would have stood up and said, "But you punished my Ammijaan for her mohabhat for me and power." That is how ridiculous that dialogue and reasoning was!
IPL and vacations can be the cause for dragging, but not such terrible dialogues and execution! CVs, buck up!
My Take 5:
But I will still attempt to bring a smile to your face with a quick take 5, more on the funny/sarcastic side:
(1) I figured out the purpose of Jiji Anga's outburst yesterday: While I loved what Jiji Anga told Maham Anga yesterday, I was trying to figure out its purpose and today it became clear. It was to make Maham Anga more vengeful and serve as background music as she walked towards the cave. How long will we listen to the Maham Anga hiss! 😉
(2) Mughal soldiers finally show some efficiency: Shivani and Tej are caught! It is about time the Mughal spy network succeed at something and they did! I am impressed ... In their commoner outfit, they would be difficult to find. Hats off! They are showing improvement. 👏
(3) Ruq's stays consistent to character: You may hate her ... But you have to admit Ruqs is one of the most consistent characters on the show constantly claiming that Jalal is still hers. I actually liked how she told off Maham Anga and how she criticized her insulting a brother-sister relationship knowingly. She truly thought Jodha was in the wrong when she supported Maham Anga- and that is what makes Ruqs grey and Maham Anga black.
One thing- Ruq's should stop wearing the dupatta she stole from Ben ... It really reduces her credibility though. 😆
(4) Jalal is really a good student ... He has not only learned from Jodha Begum as well but Hakim Mirza on hurting a loved one. I think Hakim Mirza is the biggest Shaguni Bai on this show ... He predicted that love would bring a Shehenshah to his knees. Hakim Mirza, tussi great ho!
(5) The precap: Perhaps, a sign that the love story we are interested in, Jodha and Jalal, will become a point of focus again. Jalal as always is thinking about Jodha. Daadi is now going to be the fifth attempt at making Jodha understand her feelings for Jalal ... Let's see how it works out. Fingers crossed!
Anyways, what were your thoughts on the episode? This thread is difficult to write on days like this so I would really appreciate it if you drop a note.
