i too would like rakshas mode. i won't mind if shlok remains a bad guy and dies in the end instead of ending up with this aastha that we see now. i would at least get a chance to see avinash's awesome performances if he remains very dark like in the early episodes. i would have loved to see them together if aastha remained the silly girl that she was until recently and shlok remained the angry, egoistic, manipulative guy. but now i don't feel like it.

if shlok misunderstands her now, the story goes backwards. i think, it would be better if their love story progresses forward at a constant pace and not in this repeated back and forth motions. shlok misunderstood her once and married her, then aastha misunderstood him and filed for divorce. now they sorted out their problems and decided to start afresh. now are they going repeat that cycle of misunderstandings again . i could get dizzy and throw up if they don't stop going in circles.

Jia, Manish is indeed a powerhouse of talent. Just within less than a year, I have now seen him in three different shows and seen so much range in him. And besides the talent, he has tremendous screen presence - not many have that kind of presence. That's why it is strange that CVs are so bent on making his and Shlok's character so one dimensional. Keeping them complex would have done wonders for this track. Instead they are bringing down every complex character in the show to glorify Astha as this superwoman who can do no wrong.

And I always expected that Shlok would hurt Astha out of his loyalty for his father. How can anybody let go of decades of beliefs for anybody? It would have been great if they had maintained those characterizations. It is still not too late because they really spoiled these characterization in last two or three weeks. But for them to get back the show to track, the CVs have to be open to constructive criticism. Where is the forum where you legitimately criticize the show and CVs can respond?

I have seen only few of Vishal Bharadwaj's movies. I liked Maqbool and Omkara. I was not as impressed with Kaminey. It had some good parts, but over all it was not as interesting to me.
I liked Omkara because he was very successful in using the rustic environment and caste politics to show this tragic love story.

Sigh ..about listening to constructive criticism!! . I read somewhere that team visits the forum and takes some of our inputs..!! oh..well we just keep coming back in that HOPE for the love of a show, characters which we loved to see for the past few months. One day that HOPE will die.

Vishal Bharadwaj directed very few movies, he has done more work as music composer & writer. I too kinda liked Kaminey in parts; his other movies Saat Khoon Maaf, Matru ki bijli ki mandola were pretty bad. His Blue umbrella is also good, never saw Makdee which got national award.

From reading your comments, I am now doubly glad I stopped when I did...

To me the entire unveiling of NA was the backbone of story more than Shlok's past... by the way this is now playing out, the storyline has devolved down to something even a high schooler would be ashamed off...

Reminds me on the old hindi films where they would build up suspense & plot, but end with cop coming in the last scene after hero/villain dishum-dishum & everyone posing for the Cheese pic...

Aviation, you are absolutely right. NA's exposure is the biggest theme of the show. Shlok's past was important in the context of why it made him so dark and how it spoiled his relationship with Anjali. The way they showed, Shlok must have felt a lot of love and respect for his mother once. After all, he was the favorite child of the family and Anjali must have pampered him in her own stern way. So the main theme was always Shlok and his relationship with his parents. Unveiling of NA turns his world upside down because all the decades of holding certain beliefs comes crashing down. They have three good actors - Manish, Geetanjali and Avinash who also have awesome chemistry with each other. Then there is Sameer as Varad who was also going to be an important part of this track. So the whole Agnihotri family would have been involved with focus on these three main characters. They just are wasting the opportunity to show something powerful.

Regarding the Hindi movie, here it would be Astha coming as a savior (instead of hero/police) and would single handedly reform everyone including Niranjan.

Agreed Angie.. what a waste of raw talent & fabulous chemistry between the trio.. I remember that first or second episode.. when Shlok enters the mansion... Goosebumps... unfortunately it is now the weakest member of the cast (unfortunately Shrenu doesn't do justice, she is beautiful, but average actress) who is get the lion's share of the role... I hope Avinash starts making some noise over his character's decline...

Well- the story needs to move forward and we do need some strenght being shown in women- I suppose every episode cannot have only Ashlok scenes- although it would be nice if there are small scenes shown of the two together.
I quite like the way they are projecting domestic violence, although Astha comes across as this diva who has taken on the mahila mukti as someone said.

Aviation, that entry scene was done so well. First of all the flashback was so good. There were barely couple of lines exchanged between Niranjan and Shlok. And Anjali had no lines. But the whole repressed emotions of both Shlok and Anjali and Niranjan's desperation to prevent Shlok from leaving was one of the best scenes of EBP. Then the whole entry scene where again maybe there was one line. But interaction among three was so good. That whole subtle portrayal of relationship is now gone. There is no relationship among Agnihotri family members now unless Astha is there or she is the foucs.

And I am not if Avinash can do much. HIndi soaps are all women oriented or they make them one even if they do not start like that.
