Sunara,

Well said. I posted this on another post. So will copy paste.

Well the way I see it...she has played her cards perfectly A mastermind of a woman.

Sumer's motives for doing what he did makes more sense for everyone to believe he did what he did.

His anger towards Rudra was shown at the start. Plus his first crimes makes the other crimes believable as being planned and executed by him.

For Mohini to put it on her dimwit and gadhedo son made sense for if she goes in, an idiot like Sumer can't get back to Rudra & clan. So she is making sure she is safe.

The punishment she thinks would be less severe for Sumer (if she goes on to prove he is bawla and mentanlly unstable) considering he kidnapped Maithli instead of Paro and so she would somehow get him out. Also the number of years Sumer would be jailed.

If she accepts the blame as an elder she ends up being the mastermind. And the punishment would be more severe.

Some more on the same post that I added to comments -

If she has to hurt her son temporarily only to get back at her adversaries permanently, why not.

Sumer is her only escape at this point of time. When you are into such a dirty game, there will be some repercussions, which she thinks can be dumped on Sumer. Because she knows she is the smarter of the lot.

So its like son, I am doing this for your own good sake in the long run. For this haveli you would have to be behind bars for a while if it comes to that.

And another addition -
Oh people kill and murder for a lot less than a haveli that is as good as a palace.

Secondly she may have some past with Mala, like a troubled childhood over her looks or something...that has made her what she is...Evil to the core.

My 0.02$ after watching the episode. Its not so much that kaakisa has no feelings for Sumer or is sacrificing sumer.
She is being practical about it. Between the 2 of them he is better equipped to go to jail than she, a female. Also if she stays out she can protect him and do something to get him away from jail term. But she has no such hopes on Sumer doing the same for her should she go to jail...he being not so smart n all.
Also I think you cant equate her hate for her sister to mean she will hate her kids too. Sibling rivalry is very very common and the world is full of examples of sibling hate and jealousy even leading to murders. History is full of them...
But there are very few examples of a Mother sacrificing her son for her own benefit... very unlikely... The human gene pool would deplete with this kind of behavior...
So just because she got rid of mala is trying to murder Mala's family does not mean she will abandon her kids either...

All your points are valid.
The way she has eroded Samrat's self confidence is enough to believe that she can also put the blame for all the attempted killings and kidnap in the RW household on Sumer.

And she also knows that if she comes out of this she can help Sumer out of jail too and still keep control over the haveli front.

Truth be told, I kind of expected Mohini to throw Sumeer under the bus. She made sure he was complicit in all the evil plains that she concocted. The icing on the cake for her was when Sumer unilaterally made decision without her knowledge. Thus she was able to exploit those situation and justify that you did this without my knowledge... yada yada...

Not only is she a sociopath, but also demented, to exploit Sumeer's gullibility to such as extend. Having said that Sumeer deserves what is coming to him. He's actions is akin to Mohini in many ways. I recall he even threatened Mohini to spill the beans if she got in his way. The CVs have portrayed and proven the adage "The apple does not fall from the tree"

Thanks for this post!
I don't know why some people thought it was not right to show a mother like that. I think CVs completely portrayed her right. She always thinks she has better brains than anyone else. So out of smartness she wanted Sumer in jail or out of house so she can plan something and get him back in. If she is out then things get difficult for her. I think it was totally in character she tried to blame Sumer. She cares about no one but herself. If she is fine, she will care for her family but in her terms! That is her character. Loved the episode yesterday!
