Omg!! Intense. I am salivating for the next piece of this.
I can feel Paro's stunned silence and probably silent tears running down her face. Rudra must be too angry to even think straight. He will come back to her calmly... I hope. Loving this. ⭐️

Wow- that was not what I was expecting, at all. But this is good. This is not a bad expectation kind of thing- you surprised me, and I'm thrilled you did.
What I like most about your writing is your ability to convey so much in such a short chapter- they're not particularly long. But you get so much into it- like this one line: Even the neighbourhood children wouldn't come and take sweets from her. They peered out from behind curtains and doors, smiling and shaking their heads bashfully when she held out the brightly coloured plastic bags. It's such a simple line- the idea of children running out to get sweets from her. But it holds so much about her, about who she is- it's almost as if she's hidden behind her husband's image.Wonderful job!

Well definitely cracks started to appear in Rudra's demeanour, revealing the unforgivingly cold beast within..
The conversation with mr.singh has definitely riled him up. Hopefully it was just a heat of the moment thing, so either he is going to apologise for being obtuse this way or she is going to try and win his heart, by being understanding about his outburst..See, how much you conveyed in those few words...has all of us speculating crazily as to what will come next...👏LoveMaya

Awesome update
I an guessing that Rudra is going to learn another and important lesson of marital life soon that never to take out office problems frustrations and tensions in home, not especially on ones wife. His reaction was very upsetting.Their relationship is still void of balance and comprehension for each other. Can't wait for read next part.

this drabble form a very wonderful and crucial turning point of the storyline...i so much desire for parvati to get out of the cocoon she wove around herself and sat contently in it.because her husband is not an ordinary random guy, I wish her to see the greater picture, to feel his anguishes for losing fellow soldiers, to respect the patriot soul dedicated to his motherland and to be his sahadharmini in itz true meaning.and to make it happen the pink tinted glass wall needs to be shattered and that could be done only by Rudr himself. What I expect from the next update is not how paro would be upset and how rudr would say sorry to her...i feel this drabble has much higher potentiality than a mere honey sweetened roothna-maanana charade, I expect paro to grow a little more mature and aware of her importance as the wife of an Army Major.

I have read upto 14 and this series is really good. Like REALLY GOOD. Leaving a comment now so that I remember to come back later and leave a longer note.
The distant roar of the engine made Parvati force her frozen limbs into motion. She carefully shut the door behind her. Had anyone else heard the sound of his bike? Would they ask her why he had gone out so soon again after coming home from work? Would they believe her if she made up an excuse about an emergency meeting?
She pulled out the black kurta she had painstakingly been working on over the last week and threaded her needle again. The needle wove in and out of the silk in a nimble dance, leaving a trail of tiny stitches in its wake.
Parvati was no stranger to anger-- and definitely not her husband's. She would always pick anger over the absence of anger though. In the first month of their acquaintance (the one neither liked talking about) Parvati had found out first hand just what her husband was capable of. She hadn't suffered much physical deprivation after he had brought her to live at the Haveli. No, it was the slow, soft menace in his manner, his lovingly whispered threats, and the stone-cold eyes that glinted with the promise of unimaginable terrors that had haunted her day and night. His eyes would linger on her-- the curious blankness in his gaze disconcerting her while she served dinner in the cheerfully lit dining room. The deliberate brush of his fingers on her waist when she handed him his tea would not let her forget for a second that he was in control, that he could do as he pleased with her. It was the very uncertainty of the situation that had almost broken Parvati. Sick with fear, worry, and dread, she had come frighteningly close to begging him to kill her and get it over with, more times than she cared to remember.
And that is why Parvati wasn't as worried as she would have been had he kept the bitterness locked within. His words had hurt, oh yes. They had stung like a whip-- quick, deliberate, and deep. And in the aftermath, they'd left a throbbing laceration that ached desperately when she tried to poke and analyze the situation.
Now that Parvati had finally begun to acknowledge herself as Rudra's wife, there was very little that she valued more than her relationship and her man. She knew that she had disappointed him, but she didn't know how to fix it. Helplessness and a certain sense of justice made her angry too; anger at herself for failing to understand what he needed even after trying so hard, and anger at him for not letting her in, for making this so difficult for her.
She tugged at a stubborn little knot in the thread that marred her beautiful embroidery. The thread snapped, and the last half dozen stitches unraveled, ruining the paisley that she'd been creating. Swiping at the thick, salty drops that dampened the fabric, she fervently prayed that she be able to mend the tear.

The worst of my AD is over for a little while at least. Not sure how long it'll last, but I'll make hay while the sun shines. Thank you for being so patient with me.
