I am having a lazy Sunday hope you are having having one too. 😃

I am feeling disappointed with Zee at the way they are treating our favorite JodhaAkbar and their No.1 serial.
Please note I have not written Zee's favorite serial. 😕

The best episode of last week Tuesday one, when Jalal learns of MA truth - was not promoted at all.
Instead they promoted a bad episode and what is more did not show the scene of the promo on Thursday OR Friday!
Way to treat your JA viewers Zee

I remember Donjas post about it and agree totally. See how other channels promote their shows and if this was on any other channel we would have seen upteen promos of the fantastic episode.

Someone commented that Zee treats JA like a stepson - get all the TRPs and money from it and promote their other shows instead!

I hope the PH starts to care about my favorite show and takes up this issue with Zee.

I am disappointed with how the MA downfall is portrayed. So far it seems to me that even in MA downfall she is going to be glorified every tear, every sentence, ever closeup, every self talk way.

Ok at the risk of ridicule I am going to say again I loved Rajat Tokas FAR MORE than Ashwini in the Tuesday episode. He conveyed more by a single expression which she did not with all her screaming shouting and waving of hands. I loved RT and at the risk of being only 1 opinion against everybody else liking Ashwini I am going to say I liked RT better.

This is what Cleo wrote about JA - I agree with every word
I am slowly losing interest in the show...prefer reading updates and discussions ...
What baffles me is that the amount of screen time as well as the quality of a scene seems to be determined by the actors and not the characters. For people like me who signed up for the love story( naatkiya roopantar of course)of the greatest Mughal Emperor Akbar are getting a forced overdose of characters like MA, Ruk and occasionally new Moti and Javeda for a few months now...Usually I stay away from commenting on actors and behind the scenes drama...but if it has anything to do with overall decline in the quality of the show ...then I really hope that they fix it soon.

The actress who plays MA is good...very good...but does it mean that I enjoy watching the negative character she plays occupy a good percentage of the screen time (BTW she gets a lot of help...good lines and better directed scenes)?...NO... Poor Atgah sahib gets the most bland dialogues, if any.

Well I am getting fed up of the MA glorification by the CVs and can only hope they realize viewers watch for Jodha Akbar! Not to see CVs MA obsession 😡

Sandhya hold on to the ebookays cos seems there is loads of time yet😕

I hope to see more positivity in JA. Lets hope we will get it soon 😃

I have been busy so have not caught up on lot of reading yet. So would really love if you share your favorites. I must have missed reading many wonderful posts.

Life lessons from a parent...as only a parent can...

by LizBennett - I think this is Liz's best post yet 😊

As is my wont, I begin at the end...

I loved the two mothers for taking their young...( and yes...we do forget their youth don't we..) offspring to task...and putting forth ..into their most present and conscious of thought processes...how they have and do continue to err... in this their battle of wills, egos and justifications, actions, reactions and what have you's...

Both Maters are perfect and opposite mirror images...and both bring forth wonderful doses of sanity and experience in their sage...and no punches withheld tough advice to their progeny...

It is only a parent ..and one who has the most clear of thought processes...who, instead of blindly supporting their children...are willing to take them head on and push them in front of an insightful mirror...one from which there is absolutely no place to hide...and all of one's deepest insecurities, hubris, flaws and strengths are laid bare for open scrutiny...

The gentle, soft and generally cast aside TrueMom Panacea...is today rightly castigating her Imperio son...not for his reactions...the desperate ,heartfelt..and absolutely sincere quest for his one true love and his desire for apology ...but for the ACTION...that caused these reactions to occur in the first place...the jump the gun...and think later...impulsive action that he is so prone to when it comes to Damsel...and her alone...constantly setting her up on a pedestal and Setting her up for a fall...then expelling her from her home..repeatedly...this is what Panacea is so miffed about...this yo-yo approach ..

Because...what is to stop that from happening again...no matter what HE says...cause his reasoning goes for a toss where his FireBrand is concerned..

And on the other hand, there is Momma ReversPyschologeee...who puts forth her perspective from her beloved Imperial Son-inLaw's corner...She is talkin tough about the REACTIONS of her FireBrand daughter...while acknowledging the erroneous actions of her Son-in-Law...(isn't this wonderful to see...two sage and mirror perspectives)...here..her take is that HER reactions to his efforts are more a sign of Hurt Pride...than genuine distress...and that she wants her child to be more pragmatic in her approach...rather than the emotional head first toss outta the window tendency...to which these two are so prone...rightly saying that setting the wall of pride too high..stops your voice from being heard...

Notice that both of them don't mention the LOVE word..leaving these two to discover it for themselves..that IS delightful!

Strong, feisty, full of sass...are these two...and they need sage, strong and clear in the head parents to guide them..as they move on their path to change and shape destiny..

Blessed are the children...who have a parent such as these two...who can gutsily show their strong-willed children a mirror like this...instead of lovingly..( and wrongly) supporting n covering up their faults...

It's been 8 years now ...and I absolutely and completely miss my own mirror...my conscience, my bestest buddy...and the bestest..wisest Papa in the whole wide world...every single day...every single day...

This one's for you..!

LizB..

With a few tears,

Pemberley..

Why is jodha's self-respect being mistaken as ego?

I donno how many here think that jo is not returning to agra because of ego,but I feel its solely because of her self-respect!

Fine, how many times should jo sacrifice her self-respect and become selfless for jalal?

She did that in the benazir track!

1.entry of benazir itself was a big apmaan to her! Inspite of that she kept warning him!

2.She kept her self-Respect aside and waited for him outside rukaiyya's hojra for one whole freezing night! And what did she get in return?jalal went away even without looking at her!

3.Again in the DEK she kept her self-respect aside and warned jalal in front of everyone about ben though she knew all she would get in return was apmaan! And yea he and his mallika-e-khaas told her she has no right to talk or care about him since she hasnt performed any wifely duties!

4.when that boxer had come to agra challenging jalal, she warned him in front of everyone but againThumbs Down.that too was a public insult for her but still again without caring for self-respect she came to him amd warned him personally again! Tell me who would have done this after getting hell load of insults?

5.and how can I forget that leg-bangle incident and sword fight scene incident?

6.And when rukaiyya asked her to empty the hojra...,that too was a slap to her self-respect,but she silently did it,without talking a word!

7.And finally when she exposed benazir, when she snatched the poison cup from him, he again insulted her! The only thing that came to mind when she did that was,the way jalal told her that he would never enter her hojra even if she is dead! But there too she didnt care for his insult and drank the whole poison!

so many times she has sacrificed her self-respect and saved jalal's life! Now only once, she is not ready to come back with him because her self-respect is stopping her and people are calling it ego?

Tell me how many times she should go behind jalal without caring for her self-respect and get hell load of insults in return?

And this time too jalal insulted her during hoshiyaar's birthay jashn! Did she stop talking to him? No! She chose her self-respect over her love only when he seriously accused her of having an affair with another man! That was a serious accusation on a princess and mughul begum! Here if cv's would have shown her staying in agra and forgiving him before he asked pardon, then I would have concluded that she doesnt have even a bit of self-respect which is very much essential for a dignified queen like jodha! So I am really happy that jodha didnt return with him to agra! Last time she chose her love for jalal over her self-respect and got babaji ka thullu in return! This time she is doing it the other way round! But what we are failing to notice is that, she is doing all these with a great difficulty! She too is having the same pain in her heart that he is having, infact more...lets give her sometime and she will surely run back to his arms once she is assured of that he trusts her completely!

And lastly, one more thing is bothering me...!

When jodha has sacrificed her self-respect so many times and saved him, why cant jalal do the same? What if he is an shahenshah, she too is a princess and queen! Yea I agree,he did that to an extent but he gave up too quickly! Just because he is shahenshah he cannot step back from asking forgiveness from jo because just because jo too was a mughul queen and she didnt step back from saving his life!

So jodha is completely right in her place now,AND I AM REALLY PROUD OF MY JODHA!

Now for gods sake stop calling her self-respect as ego! I hope I have justified her actions a to an extent!

I feel very bad for Jalal. He is in a completely devastated condition and in the unenviable position of not knowing whom he can now trust and who will suddenly backstab him.

I also want Jodha to come and be his support at this time. Only she can pull him back from the brink. He needs at least one loyal person with him and also needs to know that inspite of MA/Ruq etc he still has Jo with him, that he hasn't lost her.

But I still want Jo to come at her own pace, when she wants to. We can see Jalal breaking down. She doesn't know what's happening in Agra.

Jodha suffered extremely in the last one year. From a family where no one ever spoke to her in a raised voice, to be thrown to the wolves overnight, and then survive that ordeal with her sanity intact is extremely DIFFICULT. The very same Jalal, who is now longing for her, and feeling guilty for mistreating her on the ill advice of vicious powerbrokers in his camp, had contributed to her humiliation and suffering. A man who should have protected his wife, allowed others to hurt her, humiliate her, lust for her, degrade her in every which way possible.

I am the first to acknowledge that Jalal did none of this knowingly or deliberately. He was manipulated and played like a stringed instrument by others. His biggest grief today is not the treachery of the people he trusted and loved the most, but the loss of his Jodha. This is also his biggest punishment.

When Jodha needed him the most, he could not support her. Now he realizes hopefully how Jodha must have felt when the person she trusted and loved the most betrayed her. Unfortunately in this world, humans may forgive easily a repenting person, but God or nature or fate, whatever you want to call it, does not. Our deeds, good or bad, come to haunt us in this very life. Jalal is now learning also the power of God - that God is watching over us always and sooner or later, he makes us pay for what we do, knowingly or unknowingly.

Heartbreaking though this experience is for Jalal, he has to pass thru this fire to become pure gold, to become Akbar the Great. Only when he himself suffers to the extreme will he be able to understand the suffering of others. Only when his heart is broken will he learn to value the hearts of others.

Jodha will come to him, for she is bound to him by God. But she will come to him only when God feels that Jalal's repentance is complete.

sweet_diksha wonderfully explained pov of Hamida Begum.

If anybody confused us last week it was HB! So hope you also enjoy reading this as much as I did. This was after Jalal MA confrontation and episodes on Wednesday and Thursday - I have included Diksha's pov of both days.

Hamida's reaction was right, considering her true relation with Jalal... why i m saying this, then u have to see the starting MA-Jalal scene again... Jalal calls himself orphan in that scene, and MA is taken aback hearing that... see that scene once again... Jalal takes three names , Humayun, BK and MA... and loss of these three makes him feel like orphan... he doesn't even think of HB still being as his mother... coz for him HB never existed as his mother... even not now... after this , if he had gone to HB, she would have consoled him properly, but he should have gone to her... she won't... coz the moment she had come to know abt this, and she would have rushed to Jalal to console him, he would have seen her as opportunist and would have hated her more, would have distanced from her even more...would habe blamed her for being responsible for the whole mess, that coz she stayed away from him, all this happened to him, and now when he has failed she is trying to get close to him seeing it as a chance...as a queen of the empire, HB has seen the best and worst phases of life... she has survived through them... she understands situations better than anybody else... and she is a very good decision maker...i feel HB is wisest person in whole Agra clan... though Jalal is not close to her, HB knows better what her son needs at what time...and so she sent Salima... that was perfect...

here see the joke... both HB and Humayun were equally away from Jalal , still Humayun holds imp place in Jalal's life and heart, while a mother who understands him better even without looking at him , doesn't even exist in his mind and heart... for him she is more a queen mother, who betrayed him of her love...

like i said before there were questions on character's behavior, and the reply came from other character... see abt HB's being away from Jalal , and Jalal was reply for that... he doesn't count HB to be near him, even now he misses Jo when HB is there... and the fact that Jo is not that close to him yet, Jo doesn't understand him fully yet, like HB does, still he wishes Jo to be with him and not HB...

yest had she gone to console him, Jalal wouldn't have gone close to her, even though she would have taken her in his arms... coz he opens to her only when Jo is concerned... the true mother-son relationship is yet to start... and that's what will happen, once MA is completely out of his life, after Jo comes back... coz as far as i know, Jalal/Akbar had become equally close to HB, the way he was with MA... only after MA's departure...and then that relationship lasted till HB was alive...

actually scene was good, but acting was bad... not the way it should have been... HB understands Jalal more than may be he understands himself... what she exactly did yest was made his mind stronger in the direction that he will surely decide to punish MA... but same time she made it sure, that she won't become an opportunist in her son's eyes... she made sure that Jalal understands Jo is more important in his life than MA, just that she made him accept it from his own mind and heart...

had she just agreed to his every word, or had she instigated Jalal more against MA, then she would have been just one from the crowd who bend as per his whims... but here she prefered to stand differently... she made it clear, that how much crimes she has made , still Jalal's life is Maham's gift, till Jo saved it from Benzir... coz that was the day Jalal wrote his life in Jo's name... so HB very rightly put Jalal at a point where he has to make up his mind to choose one way...to stay in past with MA's doodh ka karz or to move on to his bright future with his love... and while making him choose the right way she wanted, she made it sure that the decision he will make won't haunt him badly in the future... that his decision against MA won't make him hate himself in future... that his punishment to MA won't affect his relationship with Jo... coz the moment he accepted that his love was more important for him than anybody else, HB was satisfied, that now MA can't bend him as per her wishes, now or in future...this was HB kind of reverse psychology , she used to help Jalal make up his mind to punish MA... and she succeeded...

and so the perfect mother in her was there for him... she knew what he wanted... and she knows she can't get his love for him at that moment, but she can give him the satisfaction and peace with Jo's pic in front of him, so he can lose himself in... i likes CVs thoughtfulness... just acting by the actress playing HB should have been better...
