anjali was totally wrong in changing herself according to the old tradition of the agni house. It is still not clear why she did it but today we can see that she has failed as a mother and wife too. She has done everything to please her husband but NA is not seen happy with her. When small jyoti never got affection and love of anjali.we can see kavya craving for certain things but I think when jyoti was small she suffered much more than what is happening with kavya. Kavya is the only child for the moment but in jyoti case shlok and varad were with her. If we guess what jyoti may have gone through seeing her brothers wish getting fulfilled and hers never, its really painful from a child POV.

in the process of adopting the agni house tradition Anjali has lost her own identity. She is just considered a slave how can she become a good mother and wife in these circumstances

Maya, we do not know what brought about the radical change in Anjali. Her self talk was an eye opener, there is more to it than just following NA's rules. Something has made NA be like this n she has learnt it the hard way by sacrificing herself n her identity n her parents.😭

Only time will tell. Yes she has lost the respect n affection of her children but that is what NA wants. He was angry when Abhay shouted that this is the sanskaar u give yr girls n bahu. So IMAGE is everything for NA. Maybe he was abused as a child or his father was a monster.
