Why do every Indian TV serial look the same?

Every show is based on a BIG rich family and their daughters and sons love affairs. Why? Why can't there be different story other than joint BIG family?

These are the basic requirements for every Indian TV drama

* There MUST be a BIG joint family. There MUST be a mansion like house where one can not count how many rooms there are in the haveli.

* Every actor MUST be fair. They put so much make up to every actor. Even super dark actor looks super white in every single Indian TV serial.

* There can not be a scene without background sound effect. Sometime its too loud. There is NO silent moment. There MUST be drum beats.

* Almost 90% MUST be shot inside mansion.

* A shocking sequence with stunned face MUST be shown multiple times. High volume drum beats MUST be used in that scene. Every actor's face MUST be shown atleast 3 / 4 times in that scene.

* Women MUST sleep with makeup on and off course jewellery MUST be worn while sleeping.

What is the possible reason for so many Pakistani TV shows currently and recently with 2 wives story? Is that what your target audience wants to see or is that the reality there?

agree.. very well said.

I so agree. All these romance scenes are repetitive, they are things I've seen repeatedly and it gets on my bloody nerves! Even the whole rich-poor portrayal is just ridiculous it's not authentic, I watch Pakistani dramas and you see reality, Indian dramas such as Pratigya could have been good but it's like they ruined it, Ek Hasina Thi AT THIS POINT looks good but other than that all these dramas are ridiculous kasam se...and OMG I so agree the make up they wear when they sleep it's like it's not real! Pakistani dramas they wear make up but it's not as bad as the actresses in the Indian dramas IMO.

And in India Tv the latest trend is Angry Hero and bechare Heroine🥱

I agree ... indian shows are getting repetitive. One is copying old shows like mjht/dmg/ksbkbt/kggk/kzk/pratigya etc. Nothing is left in indian shows.

You need to keep switching between two. Indian Soap with there repetitive romance to pakistani drama with repetitive two marriages and marriage among cousins. Maybe you will find what you are looking for.

Thats what I do, balance the two 🤣 indian is too fantasyish and pakistani dramas are too realistic that it makes you depressed
