Time for another cliche, to get through this tensed week! (Just a bahana to scribble away or vent out the bubbling romance inside me đ)
MIHIR weds MIHIKA: Main To Ainvayi Ainvayi Ainvayi Ainvayi Lutt gaya!
Bhallas household became animated the moment they heard the word "Wedding!". It is as energizing to them as a big bottle of Absolut Vodka. They don't care whose wedding it is and when. All they want is a reason to celebrate and it happens to be their dearmost Mihir's which added to their Bhangda spirits, and many other "spirits"! Raman fixed a huge marriage hall for Mihir's wedding and single handedly managed all the arrangements for his dear bro. He was busy throughout the week talking to the wedding planners, outfit designers, jewelers, caterers and even decided the color of decoration theme to the color of flowers to be arranged everywhere in the hall. He chose the theme of Orange for the Sangeet and a theme of Rosy Red for the wedding.
On the day of wedding, Raman was literally on wheels running around like a skater. He made sure everything was perfect, like his wedding - the second one. It was glittering orange all around right from shining drapes, glitzy pillars, sparkling mantap, backdrop that had Mihir weds Mihika to the color of everyone's outfit. Raman wanted everyone to wear orange, even Mihika and Mihir. He attended to every detail.
He himself was clad in an Orange Chinese collared Kurta and a white bottom. He checked out on Mihir's readiness and he was shining like a new penny in an Orange sherwani. He wanted to have a look at Mihika too, but was not sure if he can go to the bride's room. While he was thinking what to do, he noticed Shravan running around the chairs playing with the kids.
He called him, "Hey Tingu!". "Chittappa, main phir se keh raha hoon, mujhe tingu mat bulao". He laughed, "Theek hai, abhi se main tujhe Tingu nahi bulaoonga, theek hai Tingu?". Shravan shrunk his eye-brows. "Chittapppaaa!!!!" and mocked crying. "Ok, ok... main tujhe ek kaam deta hoon...karoge? Bada mushkil kaam hai waise". Shravan shrugged, "Chittappa.. mujhe kya samajhte ho? Mushkil kaam karna mere liye bahut easy hai...batao..". Raman said, "Suno...abhi tum Chitti ki room mein jao aur dekh ke batao ki woh ready hai ki nahi...?". "Aap jaake khud dekh lo...!", he grinned. "Abey besharam...woh girls ka area hai na...main kaise jaa sakta hoon...Main boy hoon na?". "Toh main bhi toh boy hoon...kaise jaa sakta hoon?", he asked a valid question. Baffled at that Raman replied, "Arey tingu...tum chote ho...par main bada hoon...main nahi jaa sakta...tu jaa sakta hai...jaao...aur mujhe batao...ki Chitti ready ho gayi hai ki nahi...Mujhe baat karni hai unse...". "Theek hai chitappa...but badle mein aap ko mere aur Ruhi ke saat khelna padega", Shravan said with his fingers pointed at Raman. "Theek hai...kheloonga...ab jao..". Shravan rushed to the bride's room.
"Chitti...", he called once he entered the room. Ishita and Mihika, both of them turned and asked, "Kya Shravan?". "Oh!", Shravan thought for a brief second. "Chittappa ne kaha Chitti ko dekh ke aao...par yahan pe toh do do chittiyan hai...kisko dekhna hai?". Ishita asked him again, "Kya hua?". "Ishita chitti...Raman chittappa asked me to check...ki aap ready ho gayi ho ki nahi...unko aapse baat karni hai...". "Theek hai, tum jao", Ishita said with a smile. "Kya baat hai akka! Shaadi ki ambience mein tum logon ko apni shaadi ki yaad aa raha hai kya? Jaao jaao...", Mihika pinched Ishita's cheeks. Ishita faked an irritated face and said, "Jaati hoon...pata nahi kyun bula rahe hai...", with a quizzical expression.
Shravan came running to Raman. "Chittappa, She is ready...Maine bola unko ki aap unse baat karna chahte hai..". "Good boy", he said and tried to walk away. "Chittappa...promise bhool rahe hai aap...humhare saat khelna padega aap ko...", he pulled Raman's kurta. Raman decided to play with them just to make them happy. He said, "Theek hai...sirf 5 min kheloonga...uske baad mujhe jaana hai, bahut kaam hai...". "Theek hai papa...", Ruhi came running clad in her orange gagra choli. "Kitni cute lag rahi hai meri Ruhi...", Raman pinched her cheeks and kissed. Shravan said, "Chalo khelte hai...hide and seek...Raman chittappa aur Ruhi...aap donon hide karo...main pakdoonga...". Raman thought, "Pura khandan jassoosi ki subject mein university toppers hai...", and said, "Theek hai, Ruhi tum chup jaao...main kahin jaata hoon...sirf 5 min Shravan, yaad rakhna". "Agar maine aapko pakad liya...aapko ek aur baar khelna padega...", Shravan warned and closed his eyes leaning on a pillar and counted.
Raman went into a room where wedding decoration items were piled up. He went in and hid himself behind the door of the room. Ruhi secretly noticed where Raman was hiding.
Ishita walked out of Mihika's room and searched for Raman. She looked around but could not get a glimpse of him. But she saw Ruhi hiding behind a pillar. "Hey Ruhi", she said. "Ishima...aap jao...Shravan pakad lega mujhe...jaao...", she pushed her away. She took Ruhi behind the backdrop and said, "Yeh better place hai...koi nahi pakdega aapko...batao, papa kahan hai? Main dhoond rahi hoon unhe...". Ruhi said, "Woh wahan ek kamra hai...jahan pe flowers aur curtains rakhe hue hai...wahan chupe hue hai...". "Chupe hue hai? Kyun?", she smiled. "Arey buddhu Ishima...hum log khel rahe hai na...isliye..", she said. "Accha, papa bhi khel rahe hai? Arey wah...tere papa toh bahut zyada sudar gaye hai..!", she exclaimed and walked towards that room. Shravan was looking for them after his count was over.
Raman was hiding behind the door but was into his phone checking his emails. Ishita walked into that room and found it completely dark. There was only one switch and she put it on. It lit the room with its meagre 40 watts power. Raman sensed that somebody has walked in. He listened to the sound of her payal. "Oh! Koi ladki!", he thought, "Ishita hogi? Nah! Woh payal kahan pehenti hai...Jhansi ki Rani chalte hue zameen hilne ki aawaz aati hai...payal ki zaroorat hi kya hai!", he smirked at his own intelligence. She looked around but couldn't find Raman. She found only a pile of flowers and decoration items. She thought of walking back and turned. Alas! She saw the door and thought, "Iske peeche toh nahi hai? Raavan kumar itna chota jo hai...Darwaaze ki peeche bhi aaram se fit ho jaayega...", she giggled to herself.
She slowly moved the door. Raman noticed her hands in the light and found the wedding ring dazzling. "Ishita!", he thought and pulled her behind the door in a flash. "Kaun hai!", she yelled. "Main hoon...main!", he said and she looked at him. She got nervous for a second but smiled with relief. Raman had pulled her so close to him that they both fit behind the door perfectly. Though she was spellbound by the close proximity to her Raavan, she managed to ask, "Aap...aap...idhar kya kar rahe ho?". "Huh...? Modi ko vote de raha hoon...", he rumbled. "Hehe", she chuckled and asked, "Dikh raha hai...vote theek se daaliye...kahin invalid vote na lag jaaye...aap itna distract jo ho gaye ho abhi!", she winked. "Kya distraction...kya distraction?", he asked. "Husssh", she said and kept her finger on his lips. At that minimal distance and minimal light, he clearly noticed her kajal and her shining bindi. He lowered his looks at her lip gloss, her jewellery and finally her, bejeweled in a beautiful orange lehenga. She was glittering like a morning star.
Before he was bowled out by her, he came back to reality and taunted her, "Yeh sab karne ki zaroorat nahi hai... tum mujhe phasane wali ho abhi...Shravan ke haat mein...kyun aayi tum yahan pe?". "Kyun aayi? Hello?", she raised her eyebrows. "Tum itni bloated jo ho... bahar se koi bhi abhi dekhega na...unhe samajh mein aajayega ki darwaaze ke peeche do log hai...ek fit ladka aur ek plus size ladki". "Plus size? I swear to god, I will hit you Raman...Aapne mujhe bulaya...isliye aayi aapko dhoond ke..!", she said heatedly. "Maine? Maine kab bulaya? Mere sir pe Qutb minar gira hai kya..ki main tujhe bulaoonga?". She scowled, "Shravan ne kaha". "Accha! Woh tingu ne tujhe chitti samajh liya? Maine Mihika ko bulaya...Tujhe nahi...", he said furiously. Her frown faded that moment and turned into a sad smiley. She put her head down slowly that he didn't call her and like a cherry on the cake, he is yelling at her.
He sensed that she is dejected with her expression. He couldn't understand if she was sad because he called her fat or because he yelled at her. But whatever it was, he couldn't see her like that. She was completely decked up like a goddess but she wasn't wearing her smile - that didn't go well with him. He extended one finger of his, placed it on her chin and lifted her up, "Toh tum agar chahti ho ki main na phasoon...thoda aur andar aajao...", held her arm to pull her. Ishita tried to remove his hands, they heard Shravan. "Chitappa!!!". "Shit!", she grinned and moved a bit closer to him. Pulled her lehenga inside and remained completely silent. In that low illumination, he couldn't take his eyes off her vibrant eyes. When she tried to peep outside to see Shravan, he had all eyes on her. He couldn't hide his smile under his skin. Her shoulder was touching his chest. Her duppatta was conversing with his kurta's button. He felt his heart racing, he wanted to let go of the inertia and hold her face with his hands, but just managed to turn away at the right time.
Shravan was approaching the door. "Woh yahin aa raha hai...", Raman said. "Sheeeckks!", she said and stuck even more on to him. She looked up directly into his eyes and he locked his eyes with hers. He was holding her arm. Their faces almost brushed with each other. She shivered, "Aap...aap...kya karne wale ho?". "Kya...kya karne waala hoon?...kuch nahi...!", he equally trembled and took his hand away in a second. "Arey!!! Shravan!! Shravan se bachne ke liye kya karne wale ho?", she smirked knowing what just happened, "Aap bhi na Raman!". She looked away loaded with blush. Due to the noise that came from behind the door, Shravan found them and shouted, "Yaaay!!!! Phas gaye...Chitti chittappa donon phas gayee...Chitappa aapko ek aur baar khelna padega...", he jumped in joy and ran away.
She said, "Sorry...aap mere waje se phas gaye...!" and looked apologetically. Raman leaned against the wall, looked at her with a smile, "Haan...Phas to gaya hoon...", touched his button to remove a gold strand of her duppata entwined in it. Ishita smiled with her hearts content, walked backwards and almost ran to take refuge in her mirror. For that evening, she did not need a blush brush to make her cheeks red! đł
