CE Turkey 1st Weekend Box Office Complete Dissappointment

According to box office turkiye, only 1,436 people watched Chennai Express between April 25-27. A total disappointment despite the film releasing in only a few cities and few theaters in each city. The film only has 13 screens nationwide compared to 350 screens for spiderman 2 which was watched by 175,562 people in the same time frame.

Most of those came from NRIs

That's why they need to release movies on the same day it releases in India, like they do in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, USA, UK, Canada etc.

Queen will release in Australia on the 1st of May, and believe me when I say the collections will be poor, because most Indians here have already watched it or there is no buzz for the movie anymore. i.e. the songs are out of the radio, no one is talking about the film.

It might seem funny to some of you but this means that I won't be able to see Indian films in theater again. I will only get to see Dhoom 3 since that film was bought at the same time as CE. But they won't buy any more films after this. This was not about CE, it was about Bollywood films in Turkey and it looks like an epic disaster as of now.
