Randhir ki role shuru se hi hero cum villian raha hai ...means he is hero as well as villian in sayus life ..
Randhir turns villian coz of his thinking n his hatred towards career oriented women ..(he is nice guy but coz of his past n his dad he is like that )
Woh toh shuru se hi sayu ko col me rehne ke khilaf tha
Abhi toh bada happy happy horaha hai ki sayu ki shadi hogi n she will be out of col n jo woh sochta hai woh sach sabit karna chata hai ...

But randhir hi sayu ko sabse ziyada miss karega wen she will be missinng from col ..

seeing your post i remember a line from my fav show that totally apt for sandhir "i will never let anyone hurt you,i ll protect u from the world coz i hate u too much that i cant let anyone to have the pleasure of hurting u"

wo sab kuch hai and exclusivele sanyukta ka sab kuch hai...
she doesnt need anyone else...
he can play all the roles in her life

What do we mean when we say hero?
Who is a hero?
Was there ever a hero who had no antagonists?
Was there ever a hero wasn't a lil grey?

These are questions that one needs to ask...

In order for someone to become a 'hero' they have to take certain steps that won't be pleasing to all and yet will be for the greater good! That is a hero's signature!!

So yes, Randhir is a hero in the true sense of the word...and he is the villain because every hero was initially a villain of sorts!!!

This is actually a very interesting topic of discussion!!
The term hero is often misinterpreted...we a hero a saviour...a messiah...but then when a hero saves someone, they also hurt another in order to save that someone!! U know reverse analogy :D
