Indian and Pakistani film stars, music icons and others will play a cricket match at Abu Dhabi this evening to raise funds for the cause
Abu Dhabi Celebrities from India and Pakistan will compete in a 35-over day/night cricket match to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi this evening.
Besides boosting ties between the two nations, the focus of this event is to raise funds for diabetes education and awareness. Towards this, the proceeds of this celebrity Indo-Pakistan friendly match will be donated to the charity organisation Diabetes Education and Awareness which is backed by Wasim Akram and Accu-Chek (Roche Pakistan).
Abu Dhabi is poised to become a key player in hosting international cricketing events in the region. A huge line up of stars including Suneil Shetty, Gia Ali, Govinda, Mithun Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, Resham, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam and many more.
The celebrities will come together for the first time in Abu Dhabi to pledge their support towards enhancing cultural and friendship ties between India and Pakistan as well as to demonstrate that a silent killer like diabetes can be conquered with awareness and education.
The event is being organised by Diabetes Education and Awareness and Cynosure, supported by Accu-Chek, managed by PDM International and supported by the Abu Dhabi Cricket Council.
Tickets can be bought at Sind Punjab Restaurant in Bur Dubai and Karama, Daily Restaurant in Bur Dubai and Al Mansoor outlets in Dubai and the Al Ibrahimi Restaurant in Electra Street, all Arab Udupi restaurants and Al Mansoor in Abu Dhabi.
