Maan reached hospital at 8pm and went to his cabin directly to check the reports of the patient who was operated yesterday, he checked the reports and sighed as everything is fine. His phone rang; maan took out his phone from his pocket and smiled seeing the caller ID.
"Hii annie, how are you?" asked maan.
"I am fine Bro. How are you? I think you are in hospital" asked annie.
"Yup dear just reached" told maan.
"Oops, ok then I will call you later" told annie.
"You have 5mins to talk dear, after that I have to go for rounds. Is there anything important that you called even after knowing I am in hospital" asked maan as he knew very well about his sister who won't call him when he is in hospital.
"Bro did dadi tell you about geet coming to India?" asked annie slowly.
"Yes" answered maan bluntly.
"Okk I thought dadi didn't tell you so I called you" told annie.
"Dadi told me annie, ok we will talk later" told maan and cut the call.
"Handa's are the one whom I don't want to see again in my life but see here that girl is coming here for her internship, what is the need of coming here. And I bet geet handa, you will out of this hospital on your first day itself" thought maan and continued his duty don't want to think about geet or her family. Maan never liked the way her father treat them and when they were children maan and geet were good friends, as time passed geet maintained a distance with maan as her father don't like her making friends with boys. This angered maan a lot and from that time onwards he never talked with geet and whenever they met he always taunted her. But deep inside his heart he prayed for geet's wellbeing, she is his friend after all.
On the other hand annie is calling geet to tell her about interview thing but geet kept her mobile in silent and is in parking sitting alone and thinking something deeply. Annie is worried and kept on calling her. Geet after sometime checked her mobile and saw many missed calls from annie, geet called her immediately.
"Geet I was calling from long where are you?" Asked a worried Annie.
"Do you need anything?" Asked geet.
"No actually i called to inform you that I just had talk with bhai about your internship and he told you should give interview before joining and I know about my geet, you will rock in the interview" chirped annie but it irritated geet to no extent.
First of all she is sad thinking about her dad's behavior towards her and now maan showing attitude.
"Annie i dont want to listen a single word about your brother. I am coming to India for some peace if i work with your brother then I definitely cross all the limits and kill him with my bare hands aur mujhe KH mein kaam karne kaa koi shouk nahi hai. Kehdo apna bhai ko jyada attitude mat dikhane ka samjhi" geet almost blasted annie.
"Chill geet, itna hyper kyun ho rahi ho? Kisi ne kuch kaha?" Asked annie.
"Nothing annie i am fine i am in uni i will call you later" told geet and dis-connected the call.
"What happened to her? Anyways whenever i say anything about bro her reaction will be same. Both are opposite poles and i am sure geet's internship will be most entertaining" thought Annie and smiled thinking about their cat and dog fights.
Geet went to uni and took permission letter from dean regarding her internship and chatted with her friends for some time and walked back home.
"Geet you came, fresh up and come we will have lunch together. Brij too came for lunch today" told rano.
"I will come in 10 min" told geet and walked to her room. She changed and came down for lunch; rano and brij are waiting for her. Rano served to both of them and to herself. They were having lunch silently when rano broke the silence.
"Geet India jaana jaruri hai kya. Tumari padai ke baad shaadi hojayega. Phir tu apna ghaar chali jaogi, ab tum hamare paas rahogi kaha" cribbed rano.
"Mujhse kyun pooch rahi ho tum maa, papa se kaho na. Waise bhi iss ghar mein hamare baat sunte hi kaun" told geet glaring at brij and got up.
"Arey geet have your lunch" asked rano.
"I am full" told geet and walked off from there.
"Dekho iss ladki ko" sighed rano.
Brij got up angrily and told "hum kar bhi tho kya kar sakte hai maa. Bohot ho chuka hai maa ab mai geet ke saath kuch bhi galat nahi hone dungi. Tumko pata bhi hai wo kya chati hai usko yeh shaadi nahi karni aur wo aage padhna chati hai. Kyun uske saath jabardasti kar raha hai tumhare pati. Jeene do meri behen ko apni zindagi" brij let out his frustration not able to see his sister in pain.
He always wants her to live a happy life but never let out his love but today after seeing her in this condition he couldnt help but shout on his mother.
"Maa mai aaj tumko ek baat kehna vhati hu" told geet looking at her brother.
"Mai iss ghar se chali jaungi shaadi karke par ek baat yaad rakhna iss ghar mein tumari bahu kabhi nahi ayegi kyun ki brij bhai kabhi nahi shaadi karega kyun ki unko darr hai kahi iss ghar mei aane wali ladki ko mujh jaisi zindagi jeena pade isiliye bhai jis ladki se pyaar karta hai usko apna pyaar kabhi nahi bataya" told geet.
"Kya yeh sach hai brij?" Asked rano. She so much wanted to hear a negative answer but it didn't happen.
"And maa tumko pata hai bhai kisse pyaar karta hai?" Asked geet to rano.
"Kaun hai wo?" Asked rano.
"Annie" told geet.
Rano is utterly shocked she didn't except this and annie's marriage is fixed and their family is going to India soon.
"Yeh sab kya hai aur annie jaanti hai yeh?" Asked rano.
"Nahi maa, annie ki wajah se bhai mei yeh badlav aya hai but everything is over" told geet.
Rano don't know what to say and what to do, she is a helpless mother who can do nothing but see her children in pain. One side geet and other side brij, how much she wanted them to be happy but nothing is happening. She can't talk with khurana's also.
"Yeh sab kya horaha hai?" cried rano.
"Sab kuch thik kar dunga maa, tum chinta mat karo. Geet India jaana hi thik hai maa usko jaane do" told brij.
"Tumara kya hoga brij?" asked rano.
"Mai tho bohot khush hu, aur mujhe geet ke khushi ke alawa kuch nahi chahiye. Aur iss shaadi se annie bohot khush hai mujhe aur kya chahiye" told brij and smiled.
Rano and geet knew there is lot of pain behind that smile. Geet and brij went on their own ways and rano just looking at her children who are suffering because of her husband's foolishness. How happy she was when she came to this house, mohinder a loving husband and a caring brother. But everything changed because of one incident and because of that everyone are suffering and he is realizing the damage he is doing to his own children.
