I have confirmed it from two really reliable sources. I don't know why someone on the forum wrote it was his name given by humayun after his maternal grandfather.
Even Jalaluddin was not his real name. His name was something else till Humayun had a dream and he named him Muhammad Jalaluddin which later became Abu'i'fath Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar, akbar as title not name. Yes , Jodha Akbar movie is wrong in showing giving it to him by people. The title was either given to him or he accepted it himself to glorify his name.
