Part 16:

Rey felt happy and fresh after speaking with kriya. Their fight ended on a happy note. So he decides to go out for a dinner with his gang. All agree and they go out after few mins to have dinner.

Here, Sharon laughs on kriya's condition and teases her very badly. She also calls neha simmi rinni to kriya's house and explains everything. She enacts kriya's facial expressions on rey's flirting and they all make fun of kriya.

After sometimes finally all the girls leave kriya's house still laughing. Kriya gets angry on rey. She blames him to her universe ji. And finally she switches on her cell. Within couple of mins, she receives a message from rey and it was a simple "hii". Within few seconds she receives another message from him

"Thank god your cell is on now"

After couple of seconds,

"Kriya I came out to have dinner with friends. So will call you around 12 in the night, when I will return home"

Again after couple of seconds

"Tum so tho nahi jaoge na?"

Kriya doesn't get how to feel. Of course rey's messages manages to reduce her anger on him but at the same time rey's flirting comes to her mind and she starts thinking

"Wow I am here upset because my friends teased me like hell. That too because of Rey's flirting and he? Enjoying dinner with his friends? Not happening Reyansh singhania. No. Kuch tho karna hi padega. Otherwise he will definitely not gonna stop his flirting with me so easily. That means continuously teasing from my idiot friends. No no no.. not acceptable. Kuch soch kriya. Soch..(after few minutes) BINGO (all excited to execute her plan). "

Kriya messages him back

"Too bad rey. Ab tak aapne muje aapke dosto se baat nahi karwaye hai."

Within few seconds reply comes

" two days mein tho arahi ho yahan..directly mil lena"

Kriya expected this reply so she was ready with her reply

"Kyun abhi unhi ke sath ho tho baat nahi kara sakte sabse ek bar?"

In few seconds kriya receives rey's call. When kriya says "hello" instead of rey, all his friends(Vicky Bharat Neil amar Vishaka) shouts "hello kriyaa"

Kriya grins, her plan exactly going as she had thought. Rey's cell is on speaker and all his friends can hear her now.

Kriya : hey guys. (Sweetly. And no this was not included in her plan. The conversation with rey's friends is just a Bahana(excuse) to succeed in her plan so she doesn't need to pretend anything with them)

Bharat : hi kriya. This is bharat. Accha hua tumne rey se humse baat karne ki jidd ki otherwise uska tho koi iraada nahi tha hume tumse bat karwane ki ya milwane ki.

Rey: oh shut up.. she is coming here day after tomorrow. I thought I will directly introduce her to you guys

Neil : no no kriya. Jhoot bol raha hai yeh.

Vishaka: yeah man ab tak tho aisa kuch nahi bola humse. Ab kriya ke samne aise bol raha hai.

Kriya : okay okay okay usko chodo . Wo aisa hi haI (she whispers last sentence lil shyly, acting perfectly)

Rey blushes hearing her sweet whisper and all shouts "ohhh"

Vishaka : kriya, Vishaka here. Your rey is blushing. Tumhe dekhna chahie uska face kriya.

Kriya laughs and says "really?Oh my god. Are you seriously blushing...HONEY BUNNY?"

rey spits out the cold drink he was drinking at kriya's last two words.. all hides their smile and looks at the cell expecting more to come.

Rey : what did you say? Honey bunny? (Wiping his mouth)

Kriya : Yes BABYyy.

By now everyone starts laughing, looking at rey's expression. He was shocked at kriya's flirty words. the way kriya said Baby, rey gulps at it. He knew it's not over yet, there is more to come from kriya.

Rey : kriya..ahh (scratching his eyebrow lightly).. I...i'll call you back later(looking at his friends who were laughing like hell)

Kriya : whyyy ? Achha forget it. You know why did I call you 'honey bunny' rey? (Sweetly)

Now all gets curious and gather around rey who was holding the cell.

Rey (looking at all his friends nervously, he doesn't know what's coming now) : why?

Kriya : I LOVVVE that honey bunny song, the nepali version video especially. Few minutes back I was watching that video and few words of the song made me ...(pause for long seconds, intentionally)

Rey : bolo kriya (nervously)

Kriya : actually naa SWEETY wo song dekh ke muje tumhare hi yaad aarahi thi...you know specially the first few lines.

Rey was just looking at his cell. He didn't get how to react, what to say. First honey bunny, then baby (with extra yyy) and then sweety. And more than those 3 words, comes this song reminding her of rey. Though it started with some mischievous intention but the scene turned out something different.

Kriya : hello ..rey..babyyy?

She was doing victory dance. She is not completely succeeded in her flirting task but she was sure that rey will not flirt with her openly again. But she didn't know rey isn't person to accept the defeat so easily. So rey with mischievous smile, comes back to his senses and looks at all his friends who are waiting for his reply eagerly like kriya.

Rey : kriya why don't you sing those few lines for ME then.?

All his friends starts demanding the same "yes yes kriya" "sing it for rey" "go for it kriya" ..they encourages her

Kriya : but...(nervously)

Rey : oh come on kriya. Can't you sing few lines for me?(asks sweetly)

Kriya : par rey (rey cuts her sentence)

Rey : pleaseee

After few seconds

Kriya: You are my pumpkin pumpkin
Hello honey bunny
I am your dumpling dumpling
Hello honey bunny
Feeling something something
Hello honey bunny.
Honey bunny, (after long pause)
TOKO TOKO..

kriya disconnects the call immediately.

Rey had a wide smile on his face. Shaking his head, he just whispers last two words of the song kriya sang "toko toko". He was in his own world. He didn't notice he has audience(his friends) who are watching him closely. When he finally looks at them after couple of mins, he realizes his friends presence and becomes serious (clearing his throat)

Rey : what? Aise kyun dekh rahe ho?

They don't reply to him anything then after sometime

Neil starts singing the song "honey bunny" and then started the whole teasing session for rey, for which kriya tried to flirt with Rey so that he also gets teased by his friends like her. But she failed miserably. She couldn't do much of flirting other than calling him by couple of flirty words. And also ended up singing a song for rey in return. But rey's friends got the line in that song which they used to tease him and that line is "Feeling something something, hello honey bunny".

It was around 11.45pm rey finally comes back home. And around 12.30 he comes to his room after as usual scolding his mom for waiting for him, for worrying about him. He calls kriya immediately.

Kriya : hello rey. Reached home?

Rey : haan kab ka.

Kriya : kya hua? You are sounding low.

Rey : tch same as usual. Mom se fight. (Lil irritated)

Kriya: what? Payal mom se fight? But why? And what do you mean by "as usual"?

Rey : tho kya karu kriya? You tell me. Are yaar I am not a school going kid that mom keeps on worrying about me whenever I go out or I am gonna return home late at night. Kitni baar bola hai stop worrying about me and don't wait for me, sojaya karo. Main aajaunga ghar safely but no. She always keep on waiting for me kriya and mere ghar aane tak sone nahi jati wo. Hadh hai yaar.

Kriya: so? You scold her everytime?(lil shocked and in lil high tone)

Rey : yeah. Aur kya karu?

Kriya (frustrated): oh really? Wow. Rey tell me one thing, when Payal mom travels to other places like Bangalore or Delhi, oftenly, why do you call her immediately once she reaches the destinations? Don't lie I know you called her everytime she visited Bangalore. Why? Why is it important for you to know whether she has reached safely or not?

Rey : what do you mean? She is my mom.. main nahi puchunga tho aur kaun puchega? (Lil hesitating)

Kriya : really? This is the only reason?

Rey (bursts out) : Fine. I agree.. I ..I.. don't want to loose her like dad. So I get worried about her. She is the only one left in my life.

Kriya : exactly. Payal mom bhi issile worried rehti hai tumhe lekar. Unke life mein bhi tumhare siva koi nai hai. Wo bhi tumhe khona nahi chahti. Unhe bhi kahi na kahI yeh darr hamesha dil mein rehta hai. (She explains slowly, controlling her anger)

Rey realizes his mistake. He feels horrible for not understanding this simple thing all these years and scolding her mom every time. He feels guilty.

Kriya when didn't get any reply, understanding his emotions "what are you waiting for rey? Payal mom must be upset. Go and talk to her" Kriya tells him nicely because she can understand the emotional and guilty feeling rey is experiencing in that moment.

Rey just says "thanks" to kriya and ends the call and runs down to his moms room. The door was half open, only a bedlamp was on. payal was laying on her bed, tightly hugging a photo and tears were flowing from her eyes slowly, her eyes were closed. Rey doesn't need to guess whose pic his mom is holding. He feels more guilty. He silently goes to her bed and sits near her.

"Mom"

Payal gets little startled by rey's presence there in that weak moment of hers, when she was missing her husband terribly. She wipes her eyes and sits up, switching on the room light,

"Rey? What happened? Neend nahi araha beta?" She caresses rey's head lovingly. Which made rey to feel more guilty. He had hurt her few mins back, scolded her but here is she still worried about him.

Rey simply hugs her mom tightly. After few seconds starts saying his sorrys continuously. Payal gets confused and free herself from the hug. Holding rey's cheek lovingly asks "what happened? Sorry kyun bol rahe ho rey aise?"

Rey wipes his tears and confesses "mom sorry for arguing with you all the time, scolding you all these years for waiting for me whenever I went out. I didn't realize mom that you too have the same fear of loosing the only person left in your life, like me. I failed to understand this. I am sorry mom. I am really sorry"

Payal smiles and ruffles his hair "hmm tho kriya ne fir se tumhe daanta. Achi baat hai mera beta sudhar raha hai."

Rey smiles too and says "you know what mom? Kriya is the bestest gift you have ever gave me. Very precious one. Because of her I am realizing so many things which I have taken for granted and doing it wrongly all these years. She has her own way to make me understand things and mend them without any fuss or any ego clash . Now I got it, why you all are attached to her so much. Thank you mom"

"Arre wah. But beta hold on because abhi tak kuch fixed nahi hai. She should also have the same feelings for you. She should also accept you the way you are accepting her in your life" says Payal in a teasing tone.

"Oh. Don't worry about that mom. Wo kya dialogue hai bollywood mein "Aag dono taraf lagi hai". (Winks at payal)"

Both mother-son laughs at Rey's dialogue. Forgetting the emotional pain they went through few minutes back.

Rey was waiting outside the airport for kriya, holding a white&red roses bouquet. Finally kriya has reached Mumbai, to his place. But one look at her face made him realize his mistake. How on earth he didn't think that she might be upset because she was coming away from her mom for the first time, that too for such a long period of time? He had imagined, kriya will also be happy and excited to meet him like he was.

Kriya reaches rey, smiles hiding her sadness when rey gives her bouquet saying "welcome to Mumbai". But He understood her sadness. Drive to home was little silent. Definitely not as rey had imagined. Rey had also asked her whether she is okay to which she said "she is little tired that's it. Otherwise she is okay" but rey knew she had cried through out the journey from Bangalore to Mumbai. Her eyes have swollen and became little red. He wanted her to share it with him, talk about the emotions she is going through but Kriya said she is fine. She just changed the topic both times when rey directly hinted her to share her emotions.

They finally reached rey's house after an hour of journey. As soon as they got down from the Rey's SUV, she heard swayam's voice calling her name and she runs to him and hugs him tightly. And starts crying immediately. Which made rey feel little uncomfortable and then Payal comes to kriya, kriya hugs Payal also and cries saying how bad she felt when she was leaving her mom today. Which didn't give good impression to rey. He felt bad that kriya didn't share anything with him when he asked. She didn't feel comfortable with him like she is sharing with his mom and swayam. He felt hurt realising this fact.

wow awesome update. i am waiting for what is to come next in the story.
I love the part where Kria is trying to flirt with Rey and ends up singing a song.
Also the part when she shows him of his mistakes.
the dialog "aag dono jagah lagi hai" EPIC
just awesome.
