How long will it take Alia/Pari to attain star status? - Page 2

Alia is now having a star status with SUPERHIT 2 States which will touch 100 cr soon, which Pari has yet to give, only some hits.

Isn't Parineeti already Vidyabalan of this generation, so she is also there..So in a way both are there already.. 😆

Why are we so sure the race for BW queen will be between these 2 only in the future? I think both of them are good actresses but they kinda miss that X factor (cant pinpoint what exactly..I mean sure they both can be successful actresses but that star quality which makes the audience want to see them again and again..thats missing..Something which Aishwarya,Madhuri,kareena even Rani and Karisma had..They can attain more popularity and fame within 5 yrs..But beyond that,being ruling princesses of BW and all I doubt..That coveted queen crown will go to someone who can be called a complete BW heroine..Many actresses are debuting each yr...Its up for grabs really.

@bold: Bcos both of them have proved they can act, dance, are being liked by critics, have delivered hits, are being liked by audience and have created their own brand and identity (unlike Yami or Illeana who are sinking in the background), they are being lapped up by media, making the right kind of noise, good PR, and MOST IMPORTANTLY they are getting support from the industry which no other actress in the younger generation is getting- Alia from KJo and his clan, Pari by YRF. Both of them are being pushed and marketed very well.

In contrast, Shraddha is pretty much on her own, she doesn't really seem to have someone helping/guiding her, Illeana, Yami are total outsiders struggling on their own, Vaani doesn't really have any films as of now, neither did she make that great a mark through SDR.

Right now, Alia and Pari are probably the first choices for most of the well written roles for the younger generation, they are a good choice to be paired up with the other young newbies who have debuted. DP, Anushka etc are there too, yes, but they sign up for bigger stuff these days and act opposite bigger heroes and with bigger directors, they are in a different league right now- Pari and Alia are right now competing to join that league.

No I didnt mean the beauty part alone...Both are pretty girls though not as gorgeous as Kat or DP..the star quality isnt related to beauty alone...its also the charisma and style an actor has while onscreen..Rani,Kajol etc werent goodlooking but u can watch their movies n times and wont feel bored..I agree Alia and Pari are relatable..But I dont know whether they have that kinda appeal that can me watch their movies for many yrs without feeling bored...Its also to do with versatility...I dont know whether I can imagine these 2 in a Fashion,Lootera or Devdas...they might have the acting ability but how well they suit the such roles...hmm dunno I am yet to be convinced...Also their chemistry these 2 have these new gen actors are not that great (strictly my opinion) which is important factor unless u are aiming for Vidya B whose movies doesnt depend on stars just script and direction

Interesting point u raised there..These two do have connections with ppl who matters and are well backed by big Phs...Both the media and critics have been unanimously showering praises on them...They have created a brand value successfully now...Acting talents and looks arent the only factors that determine ur status as a star anymore...Lot to do with publicity and self promotion...These two are great with PR strategies..Even their ivs and statements are cleverly constructed and the respective images are well marketed..Well me too dont think any of the other newbie actresses like Yami,Vani etc stands a chance against them..But I mean in future they may face competition from the newbie set to debut in coming yrs...And I feel many more actresses have a chance to establish themselves in BW in coming days,..Cuz now there is an unbalance...There are like 10 possible options among x gen male actors and just 3 among actresses...This trend needs to change in future...For now Alia-Parineeti seems promising but with arrival of newer actresses in coming yrs,thing might change drastically.,.there might be more promising contenders for the throne...Thats why I feel its too early to label Alia-Pari as new age superstars

I loved Alia in Highway, she was also really good in 2 States..so if she keeps doing these type of performances, then she is not much far from the Star Status. Critics are liking her and now even the audience after 2 states. All the luck to her!

eish i dnt want to see alia opposite any of the khans i saw a pic of salman carrying alia when she was a baby its not cool to ever pair them. bt another thing would the khans want to work with these girls srk already looks way to old to be paired with the current generation, my god aamir paired with any of these girls god help me perversion at its worst. although salman did look good with pari in those pic of them on that bike bt for a whole movie i dnt know. bt if they keep working with the current lot i think they would do good. although as some1 said thier chemistry with whoever they been paired opposite isnt that great. and i dnt know whether i would watch their movies over and over again. alia 2 movies definitely not dnt know about 2 states and as for pari not sure ab her
