Karan Begs Hrithik to reconsider Shuddhi

Mumbai: Karan Johar had chalked out a perfect reunion on-screen of old flames, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. However, things didn't go exactly as planned as both the actors opted out of 'Shuddhi'. While Hrithik Roshan sent out an official statement citing health reason which could further delay the project, Kareena Kapoor reportedly didn't take it to kindly with Kjo approaching Deepika for the film while she was still on board.

As bad as it could get for Karan Johar, he took to twitter and announced that the film will release on Friday,25, 2015 with practically no actors on board. However, Deepika reportedly picked Sanjay Leela Bhansali and agreed to do 'Bajirao' instead, making it worse for Dharma head honcho.

With that brave move of announcing the release date, the director is running against time to start shooting the film. Buzz is that Karan, has reached out to Hrithik again to reconsider project 'Shuddhi'. While there have been reports claiming the real reason of Hrithik quitting the film due to monetary issues, Karan Johar has clarified it by denying it on twitter.

A source reveals," Karan Johar has made an attempt to reach out to Hrithik Roshan and has had a word with him to be back on board. With Shah Rukh and Aamir both of them giving him a 'no' as an answer, he had no other option but to go back to his first hero."

The shooting of the film has already been delayed and with Hrithik already committed to Ashutosh Gowariker's next, it will be interesting to see if the actor works out any alternate plan, if any.
