SanDhir OS:There's No Love Like Your Love

Hello people! Tanya is back yet again :D I am here with an OS. To be truthful, I'd been writing it in the start, so it would be a sad SonRie. Somewhere along the line it turned into an OS :P Don't worry...Sadism is not my cup of tea, so atleast the ending is happy xD Besides, after today's episode, I decided that SanDhirians really need something new now xP

This update is dedicated to the best and most loving sisters I have, Anu di and Ari di :D

Anu di, you have never let me feel sad, lonely, left out or depressed. You have always been there by my side, showering me with your sisterly love! Love you loads <3

'Why? Why oh why did I fall in love with him? Why him?'' Sanyukta asked herself.

Her mind gave no answers to her queries. Nor did her heart. Instead, it took her yet again to a place where she'd been at, several times. It took her to the time which had once been her heaven but now was her hell.

*Flashback*

Sanyukta had proved Randhir to be wrong about his mother. She'd proved her innocence to him. And though Randhir had finally achieved the motherly love he'd always desired, he also was drowned in sadness as his father's dirty truth had been revealed before him. He was broken, yet again. But as they say, 'Kuch paane ke liye Kuch khona padta hai.'' And so Randhir moved on. He smiled now. Yes. He actually smiled and even laughed at jokes. He still behaved like an egoistic MCP but atleast he didn't HATE womankind, anymore. Quite the opposite infact. He had started to love women. Actually, just one in particular. The one who was supposedly his arch enemy. But he couldn't help it, could he? Her love for poking her nose into others personal lives, always unnerved him but could never be changed. However, this incorrigible habit of hers had proven to be the best thing that'd ever happened to him. He'd been reunited with his mother after all.

His heart swelled with love and mirth as he walked towards the FITE grounds, a bouquet of fresh red roses in his hand. He adjusted his tie. Yes. He'd actually worn a suit and a tie.

'Gosh! The things I must do for this Farzi.'' He thought, fidgeting with his suit coat impatiently.

Sanyukta entered the campus grounds in her regular attire. Now how was she to know that Randhir had planned a wonderful evening for them. As she walked along the grounds, clad in a simple pink kurti and a white Patiala, a soft breeze blew. The trees swayed lightly with the breeze, as if dancing for the joy that was to come!

And she saw. She saw the round table draped with a white lace cloth. She saw the candles and the two chairs, sitting empty, side by side. Then her eyes fell on the guitar. She looked up. Randhir smiled shyly before playing the guitar and singing:

As he wrapped up the song and waited in anticipation, to see Sanyukta's reaction, Sanyukta's eyes brimmed with tears. She ran and flung her arms around him. He was shocked. Although he'd ben wishfully thinking this would happen someday. Sanyukta then leaned close to Randhir's ears and whispered, 'I love opu'', between sobs. Randhir's shocked expression was replaced with a proud smirk.

Randhir gently detached himself form her arms and mockingly saying, 'Hey! I was supposed to say that first! Lets replay the scene again, okay?''

Sanyukta laughed merrily as Randhir bent down on his knees and slid a beautiful, simple but elegant little silver bracelet on her wrist. It had a heart shape in between.

'What?! Don't look at me like that. You're engagement is fixed with Sameer. So I can't slip a ring onto your finger and engage now, can I?'' he spoke as Sanyu's eyes widened in shock. 'Arre, I mean, we'll solve your marriage mess first and then we will get engaged dhoom dhaam se with a ring ceremony. And yeah. Your parents approval too!'' he added, laughing.

'I love you Farzi. Forever and Always.'' Randhir whispered as he pulled Sanyukta in for a kiss.

*Flashback Ends*

'I love you Farzi. Forever and Always.''

The words rang in her ears repeatedly as she sat down on the floor weakly, wrapping her arms around her knees and resting her head on them, crying softly.

Randhir jumped into the room from the window.

Sanyukta had been skipping college lectures since a week now. She'd just stay inside her hostel room, all day long. He'd been getting worried and finally decided to check upon her.

His state was as disheveled as hers, maybe worse.

Sanyukta lifted her head to come face to face with Randhir. Their eyes met. Randhir's heart shattered to a million pieces as he saw the blank look plastered on her face, and the hurt, broken gaze in the depth of her eyes.

'How could I have suspected her of having an affair with Parth? How could I have doubted her character and said all those awfully cheap words about her? How could I have gone to such an extent and even date another girl?'' Randhir thought guiltily. Unable to control himself anymore, he engulfed Sanyukta into a warm hug. However, it didn't feel warm at all. Infact, Sanyukta's body was pretty cold and stiff. She sat motionless as Randhir scrutinized her appearance doubtfully and worriedly.

'I am sorry Sanyukta. Please forgive me this one last time? Please Sanyu? Beat me, scold me but just don't sit there without uttering a single word?!'' Randhir cried over her shoulder.

Sanyukta didn't respond even as Randhir shook her violently.

Randhir knew he'd crossed his limits this time. She'd effing seen him kiss that stupid bimbo! He knew, a hug and a sorry wouldn't be enough to revive the fierce tigress dwelling in a faint state somewhere in the depths of her soul. She'd been broken too badly. And shattered pieces of glass cant be joined to form the original piece, can they? No.

'But mine can.'' Randhir thought with a firm resolve as he rushed to the window, climbing down the pipe and running as fast as his legs would carry him. He grabbed the guitar sitting idly in a corner of his room and hurried back to Sanyukta. She was still in the same position he'd left her in.

He started playing the guitar and singing again.

She stood up, walked towards him and slapped him. Hard.

Randhir laughed in between tears. He didn't feel the pain. But he felt the happiness.

She started thrashing his chest with light punches. She grabbed his collar and broke into tears. Finally.

Randhir immediately grabbed her in for a kiss. She responded at once. Both of them kissed each other fiercely, roughly and passionately.

And that kiss, expressed volumes.

Both Sanyukta and Randhir knew that everything was going to be okay. They'd take time to recover but their immense true love would ultimately win and heal them.

Yet, Randhir didn't want to risk it.

He bent down on his knees and pulled out a tiny velvet box from his poxket. As he opened the box, Sanyukta's mouth dropped open.

'Chuck your father and your brother and that stupid Sameer. To hell with sorting out the mess, getting approval from parents and doing it the right way. This IS the RIGHT way! I love you Sanyukta. You know I do. And I want you to be mine forever. So will you accompany me, be by my side, bickering and bantering, irritating and loving, forever and always?'' Randhir asked.

Sanyukta was overjoyed. She merely nodded her head in a yes'. Tears of joy trailed down her face.

Randhir slid in a beautiful diamond ring in Sanyukta's ring finger.

'I Love You'' were the last words both of them uttered before flopping down on the bed, drifting to sleep in each others warm embrace.

'Sanyukta?! Mai tumse baat kar raha hu!'' Parth said for the umpteenth time.

'Mujhe ignore kyun karahi ho? After all that happened...'' Parth trailed off ad Sanyukta interrupted him angrily.

'After all that happened? Nothing happened Parth. You were my best friend. You were in a broken state and crying away like a one year old baby. You've forgotten Arpita or what? I just wanted to calm you, get it? Nothing more. But now you're not going to be the cause of destruction for me or Randhir cause, We. Are. ENGAGED.'' Sanyukta said proudly, waving her hand in fornt of him, flaunting her diamond ring.

As Sanyukta walked away, Parth kept mum. To say that he had been shocked out of his wits, would be an understatement. What had happened to the clingy, 'chamchi'' type Sanyukta he knew? Well it looked like maybe she'd said goodbye to him and this world, only to be reborn as Randhir's true lover. He sighed.

'Chal beta Parth. Tu apne photo-in-wallet Arpita ke saath hi theek hai!'' he thought, shaking his head.

-----At a secluded part of the corridor------

Sanyukta walked out of the class having fired Parth, when suddenly a warm hand crept over her face. She recognized the touch instanteously.

Randhir.

Randhir side hugged Sanyukta and gave her a peck on the cheek.

Sanyukta blushed and spoke, 'Yeh tum kya karahe ho Randhir. Koi dekh lega!''

'Ab tum kaam hi aise karti ho ki mai khudko rok nahi paata. Kya sahi sunaaya uss Fevicol ko aaj tumne. Hmph. Ab ptaa chalega usse, ki fevicol ho ya feviquick, hum dono ek saath milke har voh mushkil ka saamna karke jeet sakte hai, jo humaare raastein mein aaye!'' Randhir smirked.

Sanyukta laughed, amused at being shown this filmy side of Randhir. She side hugged him as well and they walked to their next lecture. Together. Hand in Hand.
