Saying "I love you" doesn't change the fact that he's been a massive jerk to Astha in life and has treated her like no human being deserves to be treated.
Will he ever apologise for all the nonsense he has done, or are we expected to make ourselves happy with just the half convincing "I love you"?

I have a feeling the next track where Shlok gets to see Niranjan's dark side will also make him see his own dark side and make him repent for all the mistakes and things he did with Aastha!

Shlok and Aastha will be on two different sides this time again, where Aastha will support her mother-in-law and Shlok will stand by his baba and his samman...

And one of Aastha's previous dialogues will come true - that the biggest difference between them is that she always supports the truth and he always keeps quiet and blames the wrong people for his problems.

That is when Shlok will get to see what wrong his father has done and what wrong he did with Aastha himself!

You may be right. However the confession bit should have come after the realization.

Apparently the writers think it does. At least for now. I sincerely hope they have planned some show of real remorse from Shlok for his mistreatment of Aastha because even if she doesn't need him to realise his mistakes and repent, the audience does. And they cannot get away with shoving the forgiveness down our throats by making all the characters hunky dory with each other without putting the work in to show why and how they got there.

confessing his love is a very big step for Shlok.
So now he confessed and according to aastha they would be a complete couple.

CVs will show him repenting later on when aastha and Shlok supporting diff sides and when Shlok is actually realizing his mistakes.

Right now Shlok takes aastha for granted and when aastha refuses to be on his side (supporting the truth side) even after his confession that when he actually realizes her worth.
