Why, oh why, can't there be some logic in the tracks just before the big consummation is scheduled? The CVs have dragged a stupid MU into an insanely stretched story about a jobless King and a tantrum throwing Queen 😕 This is totally unbecoming of what the essence of Jodha and Akbar really are!
Jodha is not meant to act like a spoilt child with her neverending vachans and holier than thou attitude, and Jalal is not meant to be a dimwitted cruel King who manhandles his wife and then traipses about the countryside searching for her randomly! Which Queen gets miffed and takes sanyaas in an ashram? And which King leaves all his duties and his Kingdom to Allah's whim and walks around unprotected? 😕
I get the need to add tracks that provide some friction between the characters to keep a story going. I mean, how boring would it be to keep seeing things all rosy? But the brainless mishandling of this track totally upsets me! CVs, all the experience and wits about you and you come up with a track filled with umpteen loopholes? Is this a joke? Or an insult to the viewer's understanding? All those brains together and you could not even come up with a logical track?
First of all, it is highly absurd that Jalal will ever doubt Jodha after she sacrificed herself for him. And that too so soon! It would have to be a very ehsaan faramosh person who can ignore such a big thing like that, and we all know that Jalal was shown to be very considerate to people around him in the beginning of the show. So, if Jalal is discarding Jodha's sacrifice for the weird reason he gave while accusing her in the oft repeated flashback scene, it shows the lack of organisation in the minds of the CVs regarding the various nuances of their character. They have no grip on the pulse of their character and disregard the important things they highlighted themselves in favour of stretching an already goner situation. Its like saying "we will do whatever we want, with the least effort and the viewers had better adjust". No, we do not want to adjust! You can't take us for granted!
And seriously, Jalal would never have hurt Jodha or pushed her around as if she was a common dasi and not his wife. The initial Jalal might have. But the amount of growth shown in his character cannot be eradicated with one misunderstanding. His love for her would have forced him to hurt himself, NOT her. Which he did. But after pushing her around like a dummy. What are you trying to portray CVs? That its hot for a hubby to treat his beloved like shit? That its normal for a husband who trusts his wife so much to be so blinded by his jealousy and rage? That a person who loves another as deeply as Jalal loves Jodha can even dream about hurting her like he did?
Secondly, the way JJ relationship was progressing, there is no way in hell Jodha would have hidden things about Sujamal from Jalal. She knew he was kind, that he considered her important and had changed very ancient and very big laws because he trusted her judgement and reasoning. She would have taken her concerns directly to Jalal and trusted him to do right by her bhai-sa. Had Sujamal asked her to keep it quiet, she would have unleashed her fury on him and told him that she is bound to tell her husband and point out that secrets destroy relationships and that Sujamal has no right to insist she hides things from her pati parmeshwar (which is how Rajvanshis see their husbands). But we all know what happened.
To salvage all the rubbish they have created, the CVs could have shown both realizing and admitting their faults. But suddenly, it is all Jalal's fault in the age old Kekta formula of keeping her leads holier than thou, beyond reproach, a right little devi. Jodha has suddenly had amnesia and has gone back to her initial bhashan giving phase where she would spout the most ridiculous lines with elan! What happened to the tenderness of the letters? The feeling that maybe SHE could not make her husband trust her, that she holds him blameless? Suddenly, his punishment can never be enough and she will never forgive him? Suddenly, his pain is meaningless and her dignity has been questioned out of the blue? Where has the Jodha who took poison for her husband, who cannot bear his pain gone? Who is this child throwing a tantrum all over the country? This cannot be the Jodha we have been seeing since she realized the goodness of Jalal's heart. This is NOT the Jodha you showed us and made us love!
Who are Jodha and Jalal? Who are these people? We don't recognize them. Suddenly, they have become so ridiculous and caricatured from numerous tried and tested formulas, we don't know them anymore. We cannot predict what they would do because we know they have multiple personalities that come up at the CVs convenience. What have you made our show? Have you forgotten the place in top 3 is because of your viewers? Are we suddenly that dispensable for you, CVs?
And the biggest question of all - WHERE IS THE ROMANCE? Track after track, we all wait. Waiting for THAT moment squeezed between months of bhashan giving, longing looks, harem politics, that would take our breath away. You promise us a epic romance, but seriously WHERE IS IT? Jodha and Jalal resemble an elderly couple more than young ones in love! What's with all the praying and the hand holding, and random smiling? Where is the passion? The only place where passion exists is in Jalal's mind - the lovely scenes we got when he was drunk. It feels like the only time he feels anything passionate for his Queen is when he is drunk! And what's with Jodha? I don't think she has ever felt passionate about Jalal. It feels like she wants him to sit and sing bhajans with her as a way to romance! 😲 Where is the closeness, the hunger for each other or even longing looks? By now, people in love get very affected when their object of affection is nearby. If your nether parts are working, you WILL feel desire. Its impossible to love without desire when you are that young, and hale and hearty! Its practically science! A need for procreation! Your body will react because it sees a desirable mate. You will not be content with mere hand holding and courteous looks!
Instead of an epic romance, we got a badly edited scene with cheek kisses that felt more like air kisses between acquaintances! W*F? Don't we merit decent editing now? I don't care whether body doubles are used! There is a way to use them to make sure your viewers do not know!
I feel the viewers have gotten a very raw deal from the CVs, and they need to be bombarded with hate messages and complaints and dipping TRPs to know they cannot take us for granted! We want our fiery logical Queen and our kindhearted trusting Emperor back! And we need passion. Oodles of it! Not some momentary passionate consummation that springs out of their illogical and badly written tracks!
