• Megs overhears and is furious at Radha

Megs is brushing her hair in front of the mirror when Ankita comes up behind her and tries to butter her up by commenting on how beautiful she looks. Megs sees through it and asks what does she want. Ankita tells her that there is a big show in twn but she doesn't even have a ticket. She then asks for 200 rupees.

Megs refuses and tells her to stop wasting money on shows like these. Ankita swears that she will return the money (when Radha gets her wages!) and will pray for her, and bring prasad. Megs finally agrees and tells her to stop the drama. She pulls out some money and gives it to Ankita who watches her eagerly. However she realizes it's only half of what she asked for.

Megs tells her that she can take the rest from Radha and Ankita agrees. But before she can leave, Megs tells her that though she may give loans, she also knows how to take them back and she wants the money by next month. Ankita nods and leaves.

Avi enters the house with Radha as Ankita comes running up and hugs him. She tells him that he's great as if he didn't earn, where would they get money to spend, and if they didn't get money she would have missed her show. She then leaves to buy the ticket after telling Avi that she loves him.

Megs comes in and on hearing this mumbles to herself 'And I hate you'. She thinks how before when only Radha used to earn, everybody used to praise her. But now they have all started to suck up to Avi. She says 'Bhabhi bada na bhaiya – sabse bada rupaiya'

Megs walks up to them and on noticing their tensed expressions asks what happened. Radha says that Avi will tell you himself. Avi tries to get out of it as Yash and Aai also join them. Radha tells him that these people are his own, but Avi asks how can he say it.

Megs looks at them suspiciously as she asks what is the matter. Avi finally tells them that's he's left the job as everyone looks at him stunned. He then goes on to clarify it by saying that he lost his job. Megs remembers how she and Ankita had caught him in the park. In her mind she cries over her fate and asks God what kind of man did he tie her down to – she said such big things and made everyone her enemy. Now what will happen to her and her unborn child? Now I will have to beg in front of Radha again.

She falls onto a chair in shock as everyone watches her worries. Radha goes up to her and asks how could she have lost her courage like this? The whole family is there and nothing will happen as if Avi has lost one job, he has found another one. When Aai questions further, Radha reveals that Mohit has given Avi a job.

Yash is happy and says that if the boss is a family member then there are no worries. Megs is bitter as she asks if he even has enough 'status' to be the boss (sorry, I can't translate this bit properly). She says fine there condition may be poor at this moment, but that does not mean that Mohit can ridicule them and laugh at their expense.

Radha tries to convince her that Mohit was trying to help but Aai interferes and says that if he had wanted to help, he could have looked at another job for Avi. Now she has to see the day when her son has to work in a garage underneath Mohit – he can not even stand on his own two feet, how will he support Avi?

Radha asks her not to take her anger out on someone else. Mohit is working day and night and he will be successful until one day he'll have so much work that he won't be able to handle it. Megs stands up and asks how will that help Avi? He will always remain his 'servant'. Radha asks does she not want her brother to have success and earn high. And besides, the garage is only temporary until he finds another job.

Megs retorts that it means that Radha has decided to humiliate them. But she should remember one thing – she will not let her husband be played around by other people. She storms of and Avi leaves behind her.

In their bedroom Megs is raising her voice and asks Avi why he stayed quiet in front of Radha when she was saying such things. She just wants her to beg first in front of her, and then in front of Mohit – but she will not let that happen. Avi tries to console her by acting all lovey dovey. He tells her that sitting at home will do nothing – working in the garage will give him money.

Megs is adamant and insists that he will not work there – what will people say? Avi tells her to forget people as they are not the ones that feed them. He had promised her that she would never have to ask for money from Radha again and the garage work is only temporary until he finds a better job. After that the money will be all hers.

Ankita is holding the money that Megs gave her (the same one that Radha had put a swastika sign on). She is waiting for Radha who comes down the stairs happily. Radha asks her where she is lost and gives her a pink dupatta that she had bought for her. Radha tells her that her choice is so different – it took her ages to look for it.

Radha is about to leave when Ankita stops her and tells her about the show tomorrow. She says that she only has a 100 rupees note and needs another 100. She accidentally stops the money and Radha picks it up. However whilst she's handing it back to Ankita, she is shocked to see the swastika and remembers how she had put the exact sign on her money.

She asks Ankita where she got this from who replies that it as from Megs. Radha asks for the truth and Ankita says why would she lie? She asked Megs for a small loan and she gave it to her from Avi's salary.

Avi is sitting outside shuffling a pack of cards when Radha comes out and watched him with the note in her hands. She goes up to him and asks where he got the money. Avi is nervous to hear this but replies that he got it for the work that he did at the office.

Radha says then what about the bonus? Avi asks how come she asking an account of all the money. Radha says that she is not asking for an account but generally wants to know. Avi tells her that it was a loan from a friend, but why is she looking so worried?

Radha says that he knows that the money Mohit had given her has disappeared. Avi says where can it go? She must have put it somewhere and forgotten it. Radha cuts him of and says that she had put it in her cupboard and she is sure that someone removed them from there. Avi stands up and asks if she is implying that it was him.

Radha tells him that he is her younger brother and he knows that until now nothing has gone missing from there house. She had offered the money to God and placed a swastika sign on it, and the money that Megs had given to Ankita also had the same sign. She then asks him whether that is a coincidence or…

Megs hears this and is furious as she asks how did Radha dare to accuse Avi of something like this. Radha says that she did not intend to imply that. Megs tells her that they may be younger than her in relation, but they are not so small that they will listen to her accusations quietly.

Radha then asks her about the swastika sign when Megs retorts that she is not the only one who does this – hundreds of people do this. She then turns to Avi and asks him has he seen what his quietness and decency has led to? But she will not stay quiet and today they will see who is truthful and who is not.

Avi asks her not to mention this to anyone. He then turns to Radha and tells her that she put such a huge accusation on him – if this matter goes outside of the house, will they not be humiliated. Megs cuts in as she says that why did she not think of this embarrassment before putting the lame on Avi?

Today she will make a decision.

Avi jumps in through the window and looks around making sure that there is no-one there…he notices something on his short and pulls it of before burning it as he looks worried and frightened.
