NOTE & CHARACTER SKETCH

Hello

I realized just now that I forgot to give Character Sketch for "BLACK COAT BARRISTERS" and also I want to clear out few things about the Law firm; its terminologies, ideologies, Rules-Regulations and the list goes on. What already yawning? Well don't worry I won't go in very detail.

You all might be wondering how I know so much about law firm and in & out of courtrooms. First, I am not a Lawyer (Barrister) but a software engineer by profession and I have so many friends who practice law. In Countries like Australia, UK etc Lawyers were given many names like Barristers, Attorneys.

Public Defenders (PD)

Public Defenders are lawyers who are available to the criminal courts to be appointed as criminal defense lawyers for people who can't afford to hire their own attorney. Usually, they work for a non-profit organization like legal aid. Their fee is paid by the government, but they don't represent the government. They represent the particular defendant they've been appointed to serve or they can practice privately.

Public Prosecutors (PP)

Public Prosecutors are the lawyers who represent the government against accused criminals and political cases. Generally they work for government and gets paid. If a person gets accused of a crime, PP's are the ones trying to prove they are guilty. Public Prosecutors are also called as District Attorney.

Geet Handa

Age: 27

Profession: Lawyer (Public defender)

Family Background: Younger Daughter of well known business Tycoon, CEO of Handa's Import & Exports Trading Company(HIETC), Mr. Laxman Handa & Mrs. Anjali Handa. The CO-MD of HIETC is Mrs. Sargam Gill, Geet's Elder sister and married to another business magnate Mr. Aditya Gill, The Owner of well known Shipping Business.

Maan Singh Khurana

Age: 30

Profession: Lawyer (Public Prosecutor)

Family Background: Eldest Son of Supreme Court Judge Mr. Raj Singh Khurana & Mrs. Sukanya Singh Khurana who is well known, a very straight forward, strict & honest politician, MLA for East Delhi and also AIP (Aam Indian Party) party leader. Their younger son, Mr. Shaan Singh Khurana is playback singer and International level music composer.

Devansh Avasti

Age: 30

Profession: Lawyer (Public Prosecutor)

Family Background: Devansh is only son of Mr. Abhishek Avasti & Mrs. Aradhana Avasti, both are IT professionals. Dev is a very pampered, spoilt and big prankster.

Meera Desai

Age: 27

Profession: Lawyer (Public Defender)

Family Background: Meera has lost her parents at very young age. She was bought up by her elder brother Mr. Shashank Desai, who is a well known heart surgeon in Delhi.
