This is purely my POV and it ought to be no secret its from whose side 😆... If anybody happens to agree with me Thank you very much 🤗and If you do not agree to anything in this post, any polite and logical comments are most welcome. Anybody commenting with the intent to ruin my post or the discussions would be royally ignored & reported so please don't feel bad if u get no replies 😆 The intent of this post is not to bash Jodha but just like some agree with her actions yesterday I don't and I am posting my opinion...

Today I would like to put forth how ego is often confused with self respect/self esteem... how someone so immersed in one's own self and ego refuses to see anyone else's suffering but their own. When a person that they professed to LOVE is begging in front of them and that does not register but what registers is I, Me & Myself. So here goes, it's a long long post of course 😆 and my comments are in red:

Jodha expects Jalal to read her eyes right?? So how did she manage to miss out on the love that's been in Jalal's eyes at least since after the Ben track??? How he shows up to meet her in her room and at angoori baug wanting to be with her... How he supports her & TRUSTS her in the FP/Tasneem case & Murti Kaand... His TRUST in her is always intact but make even a saint be in the situation Jalal was in and He would question his wife... Give me one instance where Jodha has blindly TRUSTED Jalal and then we will talk about a mutually trusting relationship... What I would like to say here "Jodha, kya aapne kabhi unhe apna prem dikhaya?" Or was he supposed to read something in your eyes that never existed 🥱

I am putting in this conversation here too coz I wanted to show to what extent this person is hating himself for questioning or doubting Jodha... even knowing that he is not completely at fault he is willing to take the whole blame on himself but he just wants Jodha to come back to him.. how even a person who has only met him once before can read the love in his eyes but not Jodha who wants him to do the same he understands her pain and anger but did she even for one moment understand his after his outburst???? NO she did not

Jodha Begum yeh kya karne jaa rahi hai aap, yeh kya karne jaa rahi thi aap? kya aapka dimag kharab ho gaya hai Jodha Begum.. kisi ke baare mein nahi socha aapne. apne vaalden ke baare mein, ammi jaan ke baare mein, rahim ke baare mein, hamare baare mein.

This is Jodha's list of people priorities and the sad part?? even Jalal is aware of it... IF ever Jodha had shown her love Jalal with full confidence would have said "hamare baare mein" to begin with.. again the one sided expectation that HE is supposed to show love, HE is supposed to trust her but never the reciprocation of the same from her and that shows here

Jalal does not expect his LOVE to be read in his eyes... he says it with his words, proves it with his actions... In the bold words above he accepts his mistakes, calls them his sin... he is begging, requesting, asking for forgiveness.. one chance.. he accepts that he has come all this way for her. His LOVE is clear to be seen by anybody who wants to or CAN see it... He says "Kill me but don't leave me alive to make my life worse than death.. don't torment me by staying away from me, i can't live one moment without you" Even after all this from a person they are supposed to love if a person holds onto their SELF then no that is not a person i respect..

Jalal is either living in a dream world or reads her actions enacted for her kartavya to be LOVE like many do watching this show. Jalal is crying out for his LOVE to be returned soo bad alas he has fallen in LOVE with someone who holds their SELF at a higher level than any mere LOVE. And there is still silence and he is left asking for answers again and again and again

😆 Has she never gotten angry for every small thing he has ever done, has she never smiled at him when he has done something she is proud of, wasn't she the one wanting to go to Amer the first time around, wasn't she the one who went to commit suicide when she wasn't welcome at Amer leaving her husband so he brought her home not letting anyone know what she was gonna do, first time keechad uchala when a hakim said she was pregnant and he hadn't touched her, (kissi bhi hubby ko puchlo if that happens how he will react 😆) iss time uchala coz she very well knows... one sided crimes being cited again Jodha????)

(hum hum hum hum hum hum from Jodha even though if one is true to oneself we all know Jalal was not at fault in this scenario but still all u heard in his monologue was aap aap aap aap aap and that's what u still hear even after he knows the truth, he is not giving excuses nothing but wholeheartedly accepting his "sins" that's the difference that bugs me and that's where Jalal comes off as a better person to me)

(Did Jalal know that you were trying to save his life?? oh which u forgot to do this time around what with Khwaja Sara bday's and storytelling to Rahim. did Jalal know that that person was Sujamal?? your brother?? have u come out of your SELF for 2mins to understand where he was coming from??)

aisa kyun hota hai Shehenshah, har baar naari ko hi dand kyun milta hai, usse hi kyun samjhota karna padta hai, usse kyun asha ki jaati hai ki purush usse jo kahe usse woh sahe, sune aur uske apradh ko kshama karde.

(Dont u have the same or some more weird expectations from this purush??? kya aap Jalal se asha nai karti ki woh aap jo kahe woh sune aur aapke apradh ko kshama karde??? without any kshama maangna he has been doing it, hasn't he?? )

ek naari bohot saare sambandho se bandhi hoti hai.. pati ke, peeta ke, putra ke, bhai ke par har samay usse hi asha ki jaati hai ki woh har sambandh ke liye tyaag kare, unhe banaye rakhe.

(aapse asha nai ki jaati ki aap Jalal ki angrakshak bane aur uske liye unse baatein chupaye, yeh aapne apni marzi se kiya tha)

Jalal ke liye kaunsa swapna tyaaga??? why do we have to sit through a fight for women rights between a husband wife ka talk??? 🥱 poor husbands & men, woh to kuch karte hi nahi hai, sab naari karti hai.. is that what we are to assume from this talk??)

Reading this would i say Jalal is a perfect lover and follows all this?? well, no... i am not a blind follower 😆 But I will say he is more than halfway there.. But has Jodha even reached the half point?? No she hasn't... and I am sure people who are smart enough can figure out why I say that 😊

Back to the serial, as I said in Adia's post, reel Jodha is definitely suffering from MPD. Since the doctors did not know abt it then, they hv failed to recognize the illness 😆

Yesterday's eppy is a huge 👎🏼 for me on both fronts (Jalal and Jodha).

Let me come to Jalal first. What the hell does he think s he doing??!!! Was he even in his senses yesterday? Has his role been changed from Akbar to Romeo or Majnu overnight??🥱

So far, I admired Jalal and how he s taken up everything that he faced in his stride and NEVER complained about anything. But this faking death is 😲 He has lost it. BUT even after all this being said and done, this is still in line wid his character. We even got his talks with Todarmal which indicates this. He no longer believes that rules of love are different for Shehenshah. So he did all that as any lover wud do.

Such high double standards Jodha?!!

I don't mind her outburst in the episode. But wat I did mind is, the dialogues. Someone needs to lock her in a room and play all those nonsensical dialogues 24X7 for a week. Even then I doubt if she ll understand. Its just not in her to understand others POV.

yesterday I was checking out old episodes. And god, Jodha had always been like this since beginning.

She was manipulative, selfish, OTT, egoistic, proud, gud for nothing woman.

however did we miss all this? Were we so blind then to not have realized these character traits of Jodha?

As lashy said in some post, Jodha never uttered prem dialogues till now. Its our own fault that we mistook it for her shyness to accept that she loves him. She never loved him and She is not in love with him. The scape goats are Jalal and if he s not near by then Kanha and wen Kanha is not available then its Ambe Maa.

Will she ever realize her own mistakes??? For every sentence, she utters, Kshama kijiye Shehensha. Does she even realize that? I think She just utters it for namesake.

I so wish Bharmal/Mainavati/Dadisa give her left right and center. By god, she deserves it this time!

I have watched a couple of K-serials till now and trust me, I have never seen such a shallow female lead till now! I thot Kasturi was the character with worst double standards until recently, but Jodha is surpassing her wid flying colors

I ll end this by saying, LOVE is not a relationship, its a state of being! Jodha is still not in that state! And even if she comes into tat state I doubt I ll respect her🥱 She s out of my good books forever and ever!

J, thank you so so very much for coming up with this intellectually well written post. 👏👏 You have summed up every single point so precisely, i have nothing more to add. 😳

Self boosting in the name of self- esteem, i do not accept it as feminism and making your husband beg and apologize in front of you now and then, also i do not accept it as PATNI ka KARTAVYA. Ignorance is bliss but this kind of ignorance is *i don't want to say the word* Seeing any person in pain, itself should make anybody(Divinity like Jodha) vulnerable. Coming to Jalal, what has love made him, love makes you stronger but here it is only making you weak day by day 🤢 Has there been anytime that Ur beloved wife has supported you anywhere like U did? I'll only say, Jalal should get back to Agra cauz i don't see any reason for him to chase her all over the earth, neither she loves you nor she wants to be with you or feels your absence. IMO, when someone does not feel your absence, then it's better you do not disturb them again!

Awesome post, just what we needed after yesterdays episode. 👏

First I dont think Jodha knows the meaning of love and I dont think she is in love with him. When someone truly loves a person then she wont be able to stand by and see him suffer by putting more importance to your ego or respect according to Jodha. The guy had poured out his heart and confessed his love to her last week. He has been searching for her to the extend of faking his death and now begging for forgiveness where she is still unmoved. She talks about self-respect and Rajvanshis respect. I thought a Rajvanshi woman takes her husband as god and will die for him. So why not accept his apology over a MU which you conveniently have forgotten been the cause of it in the first place.

The thing which pisses me off is she is willing to forgive every tom, dick and harry including the likes of Sharifuddin and Bakshi who actually wanted to defame her name with the same accusation during the Fake Pregnancy track. None of them apologized to her or Jalal but she immediately forgave them and gave long bhanshans to Jalal forgive them too. Jodha, what happened to your long bhanshans on love and forviness or you only apply them when it suits you?

What I now really want to happen is for Jalal to leave her in Amer and he go back to Agra to take care of his Sultanate and let Jodha come back to him on her own. CVs please please dont show us again Jalal begging for her forgiveness, in tears and no more cheap tricks to win her like the fake death.

I've not watched a single episode this week and I do not wish to watch the show any further but all I can say is this show is getting hopeless and not even Rajat's marvelous acting is enough to save it from sinking. I hope he grabs the new show and becomes official Devdas instead of doing double role of Jalal and Devdas here.

Well, Jodha Rani's this long bhashaan and I Me, Myself was accepted to some extent if she was totally innocent in this whole melodrama. But no she is not, and hence all her laments, her crying and shouting of her Rajvanshi samman, her self-esteem makes me pity her. Sorry, no sympathies from my side, she in her ego has become blind to accept it was her own folly that lead to a disaster. And the one who chooses to remain blind willfully should not talk about others aparadh and paap. I'm not at all surprised at her "Nari ka Tyag" dialogues, those lines are cornerstone of blaming him for everything and make him feel miserable for the rest of his life. Though Jalal now considers him as the only gunhegaar, he somewhere knows that her mistakes are equally responsible for this! He is tolerating all this just because he loves her, If something like this would have happened in real life, then the man would have dumped such ungrateful woman for his own good but alas, serials are never realistic and always prefer to promote feminism in wrong sense much to the annoyance of people like us.

Jodha is a total disappointment yesterday, for me, it is not at all love, and I doubt she will ever be in love. She kept her ego/pride above all, then why does she need to mention about, Rajvanshi's worshipping their husband, of course all Rajvanshi women do, barring Jodha. She is different right, she always loved to break rules, so again she proved to be different. I didn't see love in her words nor in her "eyes", all she was worried about for "herself".

How they will redeem this character, I really wonder, and people talk about redeeming Jalal? Why should he be redeemed? He is fine as is, he is man with flaws, he doesn't claim to be "perfect" and what ever he does, he does it "dil se". But Jodha's actions are definitely not with "heart".

Jalal running behind his love did not look elegant. We know he is also a human an and just not an "Emperor", but can we or he forget that he is an "Emperor" and at any stage he cannot forget that. And we know that kings used to be out of their palace for wars for months, but even during that time, they will be alert and will have info about their kingdom, but here Jalal doesn't even know, what is happening at Agra, how people will inform, when they don't know, where our Emperor is.

And irrespective of being in love or not, there are certain principles and rules which a King and Queen to abide to, that's why they are not common people and here all those are in the air.

Very well written post and analyzed in Detail...u must be wondering if I missed the train...😉.Just got caught in a traffic jam.😆😆.but here I am now😊 ...

I think all of us are missing a vital point..something I too missed yesterday when I asked "Kya yehi pyar hai" in Shakespeare style..I made the mistake of still assuming that Jodha loved Jalal..I got my answer after the maha blunder yesterday..She loves the idea of being a proud Rajvanshi... ...then she loves the idea of being this just fair woman fighting for everything that is right & just ..she loves the idea that her self respect, pride and honour are immaculate and cannot be sullied...and unfortunately,after marriage,she has also fallen in love with idea of being a victim of circumstances whom life and kanha keep testing very unfairly at regular intervals...

The point here is,she is in love with all these ideas...she doesn't believe in any of them truly or genuinely..If she did she wouldn't behave in he contrary manner in which she has oft behaved(as u have rightly pointed out below)..so let us not wrongly assume that she fights for justice or honour..she loves the idea that she is being seen as someone fighting for her honour or justice..

Now where does Jalal figure in all this..answer:NOWHERE...She does not love him...just like she loves many ideas..she is in love with the idea that she is in love with him......

she drank poison becoz it was her kartavya,not for love(as poor Jallu and stupid us assumed)...she missed the new found attention he was giving her when he went to Ruqs hojra that night(not his love)... She offers to break her bangles and die for him if he dies,notbcoz she loves,but bcoz she wants to be seen as this unflinching kartavya fulfilling woman. she has undoubtedly started liking Jalal and likes spending time with him, no wonder here,coz he nods away like a "Thanjavur bommai" and fulfills her every whim.Who wouldn't like to spend time with such a man who has all eyes and ears only for you ...she respects him(as she rightly stated),even admires some of his qualities... ...her natural human empathy is evoked(when she chooses) if she sees him hurt... But love is nowhere in the picture.

.So let us not make the further mistake that she loves him even remotely..she likes him period..which is why she is able to walk off at the drop of a hat with no regrets and accuse him when he comes to apologize...Here too she walks off primarily bcoz her "kartavya fulfilling Rajvanshi"image is destroyed not bcoz trust is destroyed(that's wht I think)..trust might be a factor, but it is not primary here ...Love will never make u do that...

Love means that u forgive, forget, find ur happiness in the other person's happiness, even if it gives u pain..But Jallu is the only one doing all this heer..Jo is neither forgiving nor forgetting..she puts Jallu in pain(first unintentionally) and then when she knows that he will start repenting(as Moti tells her that the truth is out)she walks off just to prove a point..why?So that he suffers the same pain that she did last night?But is that love..putting ur beloved in pain...for a true lover that wld be like cutting ur nose to spite ur face ..and then when he begs for forgiveness, she refuses to return saying there is no forgiveness for his crime(true love??) no ,true love cannot see the person u love crying and in so much pain & guilt ..True love instantly forgives and openly embraces...No,this is pride,ego maybe..not love definitely no

Well said dear. I can't write like U. All I wanna say is. When she started the outbrust I was positive that in this outbrust she will say about her mistake and her hurt. But when she started with her Rajvanshi Samman. It was not at all about her hurt it was about her ego. And the precap was the worst part.
I can understand her hurt part but when she can she how much Jalal is repenting why can't she forgave him. That guy realized his mistake feeling guilty apologizing to u from his heart and she still can't see his pain. And he was not the only one who did mistake she was at fault too. When will she realize her mistake. If she wants to live without Jalal then pls let her be.
She is not in the same stage of love like Jalal. Now I m having doubt did she even started loving him? Because her saving his life caring for him was her kartavya not prem.
