Mother's Day..👏👏

Hello friends, here are some beautiful thoughts and wishes to a mother, who is more precious than anything, more dearest than anyone, more loving than anybody else. In my opinion everyday is mother's day as it is mention in the scriptures ,''MAATRU DEVO BHAVA,'' it means mother is like a GOD. SO why only one day for her?its only in western world they have alloted just one day and on tht day they give flowers and gifts to mother, i think it shud be daily by serving her loving her taking care of her. I hope you all agree with on this. Anyways so just read and try to realise wat mother does for us.

1).. A mother's work is never done
She works from morning until dawn
She spreads her love
And keeps you warm
But only once a year we say
Mother we wish you "
Happy Mother's Day
"
Why not and all throughout the year?
We do think of our mother dear
And help her with her daily task
Life would be perfect and we'd all be blessed!

2)..When u feel you are alone in a crowd
When you feel no one can understand you
When your love is rejected by others
When you hate your life
Just close your eyes see her face who loves you more than anyone else
Who cares for you in loneliness dies for you when you cry
She is no one but your sweet loving MOM
Love her more than anyone else in this world
Bcoz only she was, is and will be there for u all the time
Pass this message to every one you know, if you love your MOM..

3)..

When you were 50, she fell ill and needed you to take care of her.
- You thanked her by reading about the burden parents become to their children.

And then, one day, she quietly died. And everything you never did, came crashing down like thunder on your heart.

If she's still around, never forget to love her more than ever. And if she's not, remember her unconditional love....

4)..

M - For the MILLION things she gave me,
O - For she's growing OLD,
T - For the TEARS she shed to save me,
H - For her HEART of purest gold,
E - For her EYES, with love-light shining,
R - For she is always RIGHT and always be.

Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER".
A word that means the world to me.

5)..We only have One Mom, One Mommy,
One Mother in this World, One life.
Don't wait for the Tomorrow's
to tell Mom, you love her

6)My Mother, my friend so dear
Throughout my life you're always near
A tender smile to guide my way
You're the sunshine to light my day

I hope you will love them, as everyone loves the Mother. So let it be everyday mother's day. Serve, love, care, obey, respect your mother and father because Mother and father are representatives of God, no one has seen God, but in parents we see them.I miss my mother and Father dearly everyday, every moment, lucky are those whose parents are with them.My best wishes and regards to the mother, for her unselfish love, care and sacrifices she makes for her child.

Mom's the word
Sujatha Subraman
Every year, the second Sunday, in the month of May, is observed as Mother's Day. She is the epitome of love and sacrifice and she deserves all the adulation. The ancient Indian scriptures have always accorded the highest status to a mother (janani). Till date, the Bollywood movies cash on the ever smiling and self-sacrificing image of a mother. While it is natural for any able bodied person to express heartfelt thanks to one's mother, the less abled counterparts may not find it so simple. But to any mother her offspring is a precious gift. On the occasion of Mother's Day, we at CG Plus profile three such special mothers from our suburb who have taken that extra step to integrate their less abled children into their families and in the mainstream society.

Krish, the 15-year-old son of Hema Shah from Road No 11 in Chembur has just appeared for his Class X exam under the National Institute for Open schooling (NIOS) pattern of education. Hema's elder daughter Raashi is a normal child. Like any mother Hema too was concerned with matters like finding a suitable hobby class to tap her daughter's potential. But all that changed soon after the birth of her second child Krish. Recounting her experience, Hema says, "When Krish was just two months old we had to perform a corrective surgery to join his intestine to the liver. The doctors gave us no option. A surgery meant 10 per cent chances of survival and not conducting the surgery meant no hope at all. We opted to go ahead with the surgery but the heavy dose of medication that followed the operation left its side effects on the child's brain. His health needed constant attention and care. Though his physical condition improved, his mental condition could be termed as a borderline case. Although, we anticipated his learning disability, we enrolled him in a normal school. In school, Krish had problems communicating verbally and his writing skills had not developed. The teachers at OLPS, however, supported us by conducting oral exams that's how he completed his studies till Class VIII. During his school days Krish once bagged the prize for being the most hardworking student. Just as he entered Class IX, his future seemed like a normal student, fate intervened in the form of a serious bout of jaundice which left him bedridden for almost four months.

We were determined to complete his formal education so we coached him privately. His subjects included English, Economcis, Computers, Social Studies and Business. "My son is very fond of computers and he also dabbles in art. We want to give him the right opportunity to prove himself and we are willing to support him all the way," says his proud mother.

Laxmi Shetty from PL Lokhande Marg has a similar experience. Her first born being a normal child she didn't know what fate had in store till the birth of her second child Vinayak. He was diagnosed with a heart disease commonly known as a hole in the heart. He, too, needs a corrective surgery but, his fragile physical condition cannot withstand a major operation. Laxmi says, "My child has turned three but he does not walk or talk. Out of 30 days in a month, he is sick for almost 20 days. Our financial condition is not very good so we have rented out our ownership flat in Tilaknagar and we have presently moved to a slum just to take care of his medical bills." This mother has to now concentrate on improving her toddler's physical condition and at the same time tackle his speech and development delays. Her story is indeed a moving account of pain and trauma but it is her will to win against all odds that deserves a mention.

Mala Shetty from Pestomsagar is another determined mother who has rehabilitated her autistic son in her own unique way. Twenty-year-old Satej, her first born, was a normal baby but at the age of two he fell and injured his femur (thigh) bone. Bedridden for months when he finally walked, his steps were unsteady. "A visit to the doctor confirmed our worst fears. Satej was declared brain damaged. We enrolled him in Sevadaan Special School and that's when we heard about the term autism. Such children display symptoms like inability to relate and strong preference for being left alone. They need one-to-one therapy. A special programme was devised and Satej responded well. All that is required is dedication, love and patience. Today, Satej can manage his day-to-day needs. There are a number of families who do not like people to know about their challenged children so they keep them behind closed doors making the situation more complex. I take Satej to all social functions and the result being he has learnt to behave well in a public gathering which is a big achievement for an autistic adult," states this mother, who believes that the need of the hour is to create proper awareness among people.

With such strong mothers providing the much needed support to their special children, one hopes it will not be long before the society changes its outlook towards the physically and mentally challenged.
