Part 45...

9:55 PM

They had their dinner (which Arjun ordered from a nearby restaurant) and settled down on one of the huge beanbags. They laid down with Arjun hugging Riya from the back. He had his face buried in the crook of her neck. While one of his hands was wrapped around her stomach, the other was under Riya's head serving as a pillow.

"Shaadi ke baare main kuch socha hain?" she asked after a few moments of silence. Arjun chuckled and replied,

"Nahi, par mujhe pata tha ki tum sochna shuru kardogi...toh batao" he nuzzled into her neck before laying soft kisses,

"Hmmm, I want a small and sweet wedding. I don't want it to be big and lavish"

"Already knew that..." Arjun replied in between the kisses.

"I-I want only our close friends and family to be there..."

"Knew that too..."

"A-Aur..."

"Aur??" He prompted, continuing his ministrations and knowing full well he was the reason for her distraction.

"Arjun stop it..." she gently pushed him and before he could do anything quickly asked, "Sab ko pata tha na?"

"Kiske baare main?"

"Yehi, ghar aur phir proposal...Shree, Chotu, Anu, Rathore Sir...sabko pata hain na?"

"Haan...Anu aur Tanvi ne ring select karne main help ki aur Sam aur Shree ne yeh sab setup karne main..."

"Hmm"

"So, Miss Riya Mukherjee, Mrs Riya Rawte kab banna hain??"

"Jab bhi aap kahe Mr Rawte!"

With that Arjun resumed his previous position, with a never ending smile on his lips.

11:05 PM

"Yeha na hum ek family photo lagayenge...you know one of those enlarged ones. Ek acche se frame main laga ke...ya phir canvas pe print karvake..."

"Yeha pe woh painting accha rahe ga na jo mere ghar mein hain? Woh red waala?"

"Arjun hum poora ghar ko totally modern look denge...leather coughs, beautiful curtains, wooden furniture sab..."

"Accha humara koi budget hain kya?? I mean agar tum mujhe koi budget nahi doge toh main toh full bindaas shopping karoongi..."

"Arjun mein soch rahi thi ki ghar main ek...Arjun? Arjun, tum meri baat sunn rahe ho na?"

"Riya, tum pichle ek ghante se iss ghar ke baare main baat kar rahi ho. Seriously, ghar tumhara hain...tum jo chaaho kar sakti ho"

"Agar baad main pasand nahi aaya toh?" she asked looking up from his chest.

"Aisa nahi hoga"

"Kyun?"

"Besacuse, I intend to be with you throughout the setting up of the house and later on for a very long, long time. Agar kuch pasand nahi aaya toh bata doonga..."

Riya smiled and gave him a quick peck on the lips.

"Arre haan...woh papers jo tumne sign karwaye...woh iss ghar ke papers the?"

"Haan. Ghar hum dono ke naam par hain"

1:20 AM

His finger traced along the thin chain around her neck. His thoughts lost somewhere down the long memory lane. Although at one point in time, he'd thought that it'll be impossible to remember his past without some kind of pain, his lasting memories were full of happiness. He looked up to find Riya watching him intently, while her fingers subconsciously weaved through his hair.

"Aise kya dekh rahi ho??"

"Ek baat poochu?"

"Hmm..."

"Tum...tumne Roshni ko kaise? I mean..."

"Kaise propose kiya tha?"

"Hmm..."

A soft smile spread across his lips as he remembered the day, "Roshni ko beach bahut pasand hua karta tha. So, that's where I proposed. It was evening time, the sun was just setting, and it looked beautiful. I was going to take her dinner later that day and propose after dinner but, the place and time was just perfect...I didn't see any reason to wait so...I proposed right there and then. I went down on one knee and..."

Before Arjun could continue, Riya gasped looking at him in surprise before a smile broke on her lips,

"You got down on you knee? I can't imagine you doing that..."

Arjun smiled, "Yeah, the Arjun then and the Arjun now are two different people"

Riya wrapped her arms around his neck and brought him closer, "I don't know the Arjun then, but I love the Arjun now. Did she say yes immediately? Was she expecting it?"

"She did say yes immediately, and she never accepted it but I think she was expecting it. I tried to get it out of her but she was very stubborn"

2:30 AM

"Neend aa rahi hain? Ghar chele?" Arjun asked after seeing Riya's eyes flutter.

"Mmhhmm, aaj yehi so sakte hain? Abhi jaane ka mann nahi hain"

"Uncomfortable ho jaogi Riya. Ghar main aaram se bed pe..."

"Nahi Arjun please..."

"Thik hain, ek minute ruko" He quickly got up and set the beanbags and pillows inside the tent in such a way that two people can comfortably sleep on them. Once he was done, he pulled Riya next to him and let her snuggle into his chest before going into a cosy slumber.

So, I was just wondering...do want a detailed Arjun-Riya wedding or should I just finish it off sweet and quick?
