I guess that's why they're talking more now about implementing seasons in Indian telly ... but I disagree with that idea because I feel like a lot of these shows are meant to be soaps... like look at American soaps, they air 5 days a week for one hour each episode! ... and they stay on air for years ... that Y&R soap has been on air for like 40 years ... I dont understand, if American soaps can achieve this much and air double the content then why can't Indian serials do it?

Exactly my point if shows ike kyunki can go for ten years then why cant this shows?? and please dont tell me kyunki was a flop it ruled the TRP chart for years and now when it is coming back with season 2 people are excited!!

we say that Ekta is a horrible producer if she can run shows for 5-7 years and if her actors stay contented with her how can we call her a bad producer??

and Gul khan cant keep her actors for atleast 2 years???

yes I totally agree and wonder the same

I wonder why there's this difference between American soaps and Indian serials ... the only thing I can come up with is that in American soaps, the actors are usually passionate about that medium, as in they dont really have hollywood dreams, I think they might also be payed a lot more than Indian serial actors (there's a huge gap between bollywood salary and indian serials salary)... Indian serial actors, a lot of them have hopes of getting their bollywood break

the hours are the same...we can't say Indian serial actors work more than American soap actors ..that's totally not true... Ive heard of American soap actors having to start their shifts at 6 o clock in the morning ... and since their episodes are longer I'm assuming they probably spend just the same amount of time on sets (they shoot their scenes quicker because they have better set management and more organized)
