I have maintained this from the very beginning that the ONLY problem with Jodha's characterisation has been that the cvs are confused between self-respect & ego.

Self respect is a proper sense of one's own dignity and integrity...while

Ego is an inflated feeling of pride in your superiority over others.

Initially, it was Jodha's weapon againgst her TedhaEMPEROR -husband. But with the gradual metamorphosis of ghrina-to-mitrata-to-love, the ego should have melted away. It is her ego which is hurt & is stopping her from verbally accepting her mistake, though her antaratma has informed her about it.

Her self-respect was definitely hurt by the accusations of adultery by her husband, but her ego stopped her from admitting that her mistake started the whole MU.

Should ego have a place in true love?
