CHAPTER 1

Geet sat in her study preparing for tomorrow's case while sipping at her hot chocolate. She has to figure out how to convince Mr. Godbole that nobody was going to believe that he had just found a case full of fake notes (Money) hidden in his garden. One must have to be very patient when telling someone like Mr. Godbole that even she thought being his lawyer might have lost her mind to take up his case which is just plain shit. Geet isn't really looking forward to it or any of the 21 other cases she had scheduled, probably today is light day.

Geet's snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Meera calling her name at the door. Geet wore comfortable faded jeans shorts and white lose shirt lazily got up and went to open the door. Meera finally got back an hour later, looking like she had a few rounds of arguments with Dev. It had probably just been Mr. Avasti being a dick. He did that from time to time.

Geet & Meera had both started working for the Defending lawyer Association at the same time almost a year ago and since then they had been best friends from day one. As of a few months ago, they also shared an apartment in a building a few blocks from their office in some most costly & Luxurious part of the Delhi where highly influenced people and politicians live.

Frankly speaking, geet didn't really need to have a flatmate. As her parents were very successful business people who are much wealthier than any ambani or tata or birlas. Geet liked knowing that she could support herself, though, so she mostly tried to live on her own salary. Surprisingly, that worried her parents. They were worried about geet working with criminals and living in a different city.

Most of all that they are about geet's marriage. They tried to fix her up with so many alliances, they even gave her full freedom to choose an eligible groom to herself but geet is geet. She always been a book worm and chased off all the boys whoever tried to flirt with her. In all total her social life wasn't exactly thriving at the moment. She did go out, but only if she were surrounded by friends because she had very badly experiences which had left a very bitter memories. She had spent enough nights fending off drunken perverts at bars, disco and clubs. Neither she neither want to date anyone from her office nor she really interested in meeting anyone new. The problem was that the only guy who she was interested in was Mr. Maan Singh Khurana. They had been working at that Court together for months now, and while Dev could be a pain in the ass some times where as Mr. Khurana just did his job and mind his own business. He always offered help in her cases and gave ultimate suggestions and points, although sometimes he made her work hard on cases. She thought with him it was always a good clean fight even if it made her want to be a shameless-naughty girl.

Arguing and battling in court could be pretty tiresome-frustrating and stimulating job to tell you the truth. Sometimes there's a thin line between pissed off and turned on. Geet thought about him way too much though she was becoming like a crazy fan girl. She might as well have hung a poster of him over her bed and all over the wall in room. Unfortunately, she was not the only fan of his. Everybody knew that he was a big time player. Charming Personality and Sculpture like body on which every female species die for and he was a wet dream of women whose age between 16 to 60 and geet is one of them. Geet always get jealous whenever other lady lawyers talk with maan. She doesn't want to share him with anyone. But he never showed his sexiest smile to her like he used do with other ladies. So it seemed like Mr. Khurana was off-limits. Great..! Just brilliant...Now, if someone could just explain that to my stubborn heart.

"Geet..uttja ...dinn dahare sapne dekhna bandh kar aur apni Mr. Khurana ko goorna bandh kar...tomorrow's another day..Geet" meera said while reading news paper and at the same time munching on her corn flakes.

"Wait a second...tujhe kaise pata ki main kise goorahi hun aur wo bhi mere khayalon main?" geet asked, clearing a path on the floor so she could get back to her desk.

"Geet...you always have this look plastered all over your face every time you think about Mr.Khurana" meera said still reading news paper.

Geet face became red "Aisa kuch nahi hain..."

Meera "Ullu kisi banarahi ho.."

"I think you would be pretty cheerful already with all the attention a certain prosecutor has been paying you lately..." meera threw herself down in her chair, opened her bottom desk drawer and put her feet up.

Okay, that got my attention. I hadn't told anyone about my little crush, not even her, but I guess that ogling him and then asking him to do things to me hadn't exactly been unnoticed by others...aaye rabba! Geet .tu ek no. Ki gadhi..ullu ki patti aur aur ..chaddo..hey babaji..aap please meri secret ..Secret hi rehanedijeyena...

Geet tried her best not to be over desperate "And who might be that prosecutor would be?" geet asked slowly getting up from her chair and sitting back on her heels in front of meera.

Meera knew whats cooking in geet's brain "The same persecutor who is sexy-hot-gorgeous every ladies dream man Mr. Maan singh Khurana" she said, smirking.

"Why Mr. Ho-so-hot-n-sexy would be paying attention to me?" geet went back to her desk to sort files on the desk and tried to act smart.

"umm...Mujhe nahi pata... Maybe because you're good-looking and smart and funny?" meera said jerking her shoulders.

"Wel.. Then he's just looking for a good time...maine suna hain ki wo kisi bhi ladki ko date nahi karthe...just he hooks-up with girls for one night or something. Anyway, you're probably wrong. The women he likes look like starved camels in desserts.. sabb ke sabb aise dekhtey hain jaise ki un logon ko 4 maina kisini khana nahi diya ho... sabb ramp walking aur khoon chusing chudales hain..."

Meera was so surprised "How do you know so much about Mr.ho-so-hot-n-sexy?" geet Oh damn! Isi kehte hain apni phair pe kudh kuladi marna...abb tho hey meera mujhe nahi chodnewaali.

"He's a Supreme Court judge's son...it's obvious I Googled him once." Geet replied with crossed fingers.

"Hey wait..." meera jumped beside geet. "Wait what? I know what you're thinking but I'm not a crazy stalker fan or something...! I was just curious." Geet tried to reason with her googling.

"Not that! The other thing... Screw the ramp walking vampire chudales.."

Geet said casually "Kohi shaq? I'm sure he did...why not? .hatta-katta gabru jaawan...sexyal urges tho hogahi .."

"jaise ki tum uske taraf attracted nahi ho?"Meer said with frustration and dragged geet in front of the big mirror and said pointing at the geet's image.. "Look at you geet with the dark brown long curly hair and the big doe brown eyes. You also have big boobs and a perfect figure which tends to be popular features which attracts every male species on this earth...The drunken business men, sports men, celebrities are on you like they have some hots on... every time we go out." Meera said while hitting on her head playfully.

"Thanks meera, but I'm just saying that he seems to have a type and I'm not his type who have two inch waist like the ones I've seen him with in pictures. Kuch ladkiyan tho Barbie doll ko bhi over take karsakte hain...main tho sapne main bhi kabhi baribie doll ki tarha bann nahi sakthi.." geet said while walking towards her desk again and putting back her reading glasses.

"Type or no type, I still say that he wants you." Meera said and sat on the sofa which was beside the desk.

"Yeah maybe he wants me for a short-term relationship...woh kafi nahi hain mereliye...but I don't want to have such relationship with a guy I face in court every day, no matter how hot they are."

"What if he wants a long term with you? Many be we should ask yash."

Yash Malhotra was another public defender who had been friends with Maan and Dev in Law College. All three kept in touch and stayed close even though they worked on opposite sides of the courtroom now. Together they were the three sexiest guys and the three biggest womanizers in the Delhi's Judiciary, but Yash was still pretty cool just to hang out with, and he and Meera were really good friends.

Immediately geet jumped on meera and said "Nahi..! kabardaar agar tumhey yash ko kuch bhi bola tho...agar usse hey baat pata chala tho? ...nahi nahi...agar yash ne maan ko hey baat poochi aur maan ne naa kaha tho...no i can't let this happen... I would feel so embarrassed that I wouldn't be able to do my job. Besides, he would see me as just another one of his crazy fan or girl ogling him...and I want him to respect me." geet was already having flashes of humiliating images ...no thanks.

Geet was still sitting on meera while she is on sofa...then meera asked "And what if I were right geet?"

Then geet replied "Then he could always ask me out, couldn't he? It's not like it would be hard to track me down. I ogle him every day at court and he always cracks up jokes on me and my cases."

Meera said while shoving geet off from over her "Well, mujhe nahi lagta wo tumhe date keliye poochega jab tak tum usse hey esaas nahi karvathi kit um bhi usmain interested ho... Sometimes you act like Jungli billi around him."

Geet asked holding meera's throat in her both hands..."Kya ? mian jungle billi...? As if he is some hunting god who is ready to pounce on cat..So I act like Wild cat...huh? " meera just laughed at geet's cuteness.

Meera "Geet ..I know you well enough in these few months to realize that you're not just attracted to him but you started to feel something deep for him, but he probably wouldn't know that what you think about him and the feelings which are budding in your heart for him. Well, he might figure it out after today...hahahaha...that was so funny... You seemed pretty flustered and embarrassed when he came over to talk to you and you did ask him to do things to you while shoving Mr. Rajath's case files into your bag " Meera laughed to herself as she started taking notes on a file.

Geet closed her face and moaned "hey babaji...meri moo se aapne kya kya kehalwadiya... main tho gai kaam se...ek dum gadhi hun main.. meera...will you slap me please? " geet showed her left cheek to meera.

Meera just laughed at her silly talks "Don't be embarrassed geet. Mr.Khurana always looks at you like he wants to toss you over his shoulders and take you to his penthouse to have his wicked ways with you. Earlier he keeps on moving closer to you while we are all talking in the court room. I thought he was going to sit on your lap today and you obviously not have said no to him...am i right?"

Geet blushed at meera's words and stopped her pretence for once and accepted what she really feeling right now "Yeah, well, he smelled good too.." geet said having this dreamy look on her face and paused to think about that for a second. " Mujhe na aksar bahar jaana chahiye...log mujhe pagal samjenge...if I keep on sniffing around the lawyers...especially when Mr.Khurana is around"
