The film was for the Latin American market. So Hrithik was being promoted there. Also barbara Mori is a well know actress in telenovas so their pairing was obviously thought out.

There was even articles that distributors said he had a resemblance to Jesus and suited for western markets.

ot since Mel Gibson cast James Caviezel as Jesus in his 2004 film The Passion of The Christ, has there been any comparison between an actor and the Lord.

But now several Latin American distributors, who saw the international version of Rakesh Roshan's Kites, are stunned by Hrithik's resemblance to Jesus Christ in the film.

It's been two weeks since the Bollywood film was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, but the buzz around it still continues at the French Riviera. And, another thing, if the Mexican actress Barbara Mori has taken Bollywood by storm, Hrithik has done the same thing in Latin America. Foreign distributors were reportedly taken up by the searing intensity in his eyes, his lithe frame and Adonis-like tan. Some of them were heard commenting that Hrithik would be the ideal actor to play Christ in a western production.

Rakesh Roshan, who was present at Cannes, admits there was huge excitement among the foreign distributors who saw his international trailer
. "A lot of people did mention that Hrithik's looks are suited for the western market. But I didn't catch the comment on him bearing a resemblance to Christ,'' Rakesh said. "It was not possible for me to keep track of everything said and heard.''

the two scenes where they were under water was kinda weird
wasn't even artsy, it was just that their images were all distorted and they looked...idk, creepy

but overall i liked it, didn't really feel it was a complete waste of time
i've definitely seen worse in my life

I loved the ending of the film...it was just sad...😭 but then when the credits rolled and HR was singing, all of us laughed 😆

Barbara Mori looks very pretty and she has a very innocent smile - almost like a child...btw, she's a cancer survivor, hats off to her...👏 plus she and HR look really good together 😉

Last year there were a lot of death-themed movies released and most seemed to work really well. I really liked Kites but I think the biggest put-off was the language for the audience.

Why is Katrina still jobless?

She hasn’t done a movie in quite sometime. Is she retired? Why is she not getting offers? All her past films bombed. What do you think?

Why was Deepika a wooden plank in Baijaro Mastani?

I have to admit Aishwarya would have been better suited for this role. Deepika looked beautiful in the songs in Baijaro, but her acting was non...
