Hi Kshithi,
Sorry to hear you were ill but glad to hear that you are now better. Glad you are back in the forum.
I completely agree Jalal made a mistake criticizing her character- he knows he made a mistake.
I also can relate with Jodha's decision to leave after the accusations- she is hurt and lost his trust again.
The only question I have is on her silence- and if you could have a view on this I would love it:
1. I can understand her silence when she initially hid the truth
2. I can understand her silence when he was hurt- because she assumed it was the dhakka
3. I cannot understand her silence when Jalal asked for the truth last Friday- when he said my heart tells to trust you, insaaniyath kehliye tell the truth
Given your knack of writing beautiful OS, how would you would have had Jalal respond to her third silence then?
But all being said and done, both have made there share of mistakes- I want to see how this track shows the love and pain of both.
I want CVs to give more dialogues and self-talks- for example, in reaction to What Shehenaz said. As you said, she needs to open up her feelings more at least to the audience.
Best,
Divya
Divya,
Thanks for the wonderful post.
Okay, below is my take on this. Let me know if it answers your question.
Jodha only knew that something is not right w.r.t. Jalal. She did not know that he knew about her meetings with Suja. Had she known, may be she would have talked to him, may be that is. Jalal also failed to communicate why extactly he is not happy.
Then out of the blue, she sees the old Jalal (Remember the scene where Jalal accuses her of killing his unborn child), the same one who refused see reasons, who was was not merely angry, he was mad and shouting at her, manhandling her and accusing of her character, she was speechless. When she found little bit of courage, she could not convince him of her innocence. She was shocked to the core that he could accuse her of such things, when she was expecting only his anger. And when things colled down, she did try to talk to him and say the truth. Only Jalal was beyond reason that day.
Both are equally bad at open communication (they really need marriage counselling BTW).
Jodha did hide things from him for fair reasons according to her. She was right in her part. And Jalal being mad at her for hiding things are also fair. He is justified in his anger. But, Jalal still does not trust his wife enough to know that no matter what, she is always loyal to him and she is not someone who can have extra-marital affair.
This lack of trust is what landed him in soup. Not his anger!!
Love
Kshithi
