My reason is -
1- We got our Super-villain Rocky & we never forget his dialog - 'Daya to gaya'
2- In CID we experienced Aditya Srivastav as villain.
3- The best suspense ever throughout the episode even after the episode till next week Lapata Ladkiya.
4- First dramatic, emotional, well-expressed hospital scene...its best because its first...now this type of scene never scare us because we are used to it but in 2009 we who watched this episode were really scared...after the episode one week i thought whether Daya sir would be alive or not...that tension FW never create after Behrupiya...
5- Wonderful performance by all actors.

After all of u said everything, need I sat anymore..
The looks that they share when days is in death bed, the staunch trust that the person was NOT abhijeet.. The amazing portrayal of emotions by everyone especially ACP and Abhijeet sir.. Truly, despite the plethora of loopholes that we witnessed in this episode, the overwhelming and painful climax scene scurried past the rest of the episode.. The last few seconds.. They show Abhijeet clutching Daya's hands... Probably if a CIDian says he didn't cry for the episode, I'd call the person a robot..

Thanks for initiating the discussion, Sonali.

Thanks you so much for all those who answered... Well my reasons are the same... The last 15 minutes of the episode gave a new meaning and a cherishing moment to every CIDian... It told us what kind of bonding does the officers have amongst themselves... We have seen Abhijeet crying like a baby as he cannot imagine his life without his buddy Daya... Like movie Shoaly... Some dailogues of this episode are cult... For instance:-

1. Daya toh Gaya...
2. Salunkhe Saab Daya ko bacha lijiyee... Main aap se wada karta hoon main aap ka kabhi mazak nahi udaunga sir...
And many more...

I agree Beehroopiya will always remain special...

It was the first time they showed an officer dead episode. So we were all tensed. It was a 2 hour episode and the scenes etc were done well. For eg...a simple scene of Rocky and Daya walking towards the car and Rocky saying 'kahin ACP saab tumhare private SMS na padh le'. It was nice to see such casual dialogues...we never see such stuff now. Only OTT and more OTT.
The last 10 minutes were the worst. We never expected an episode to end showing a dead Daya.. The shock and pain we all underwent that whole week was unbearable. We thought Daya would really leave...we never knew what was happening behind the scenes because at least I was not on IF.
The acting by our famous 5 and Vivek and Tasha was fantastic and realistic. Just hats off to their performance. I don't think they all together have reached that standard again.
Hence it holds a special place in our hearts.

A whole big amen to your words, Vis :-)

It was difficult to say who did well that day though it was the rerun I watched after few months.. Everyone were so amazing and the episode itself felt so real.

Radically and most importantly it contained some characterized standouts that sets it apart from other episodes😃...
Being that as it may, i still cant label it alike ''Adept with splendid quality'' or something on account of its spine chilling all agog esp with denouement of the first part😕. It almost scared us out...!!!
Nevertheless; it comprises some out of the ordinary plus points, that ties up our attention for keeps. For example Adi sir portrayed Rockey brilliantly👏...And the fact that Daya sir didn't for an instant doubted his friend on Rockey's idiotic errors and felt sharp practice of a fraud. In all; Perfect bonding which is not usually seen today...!!!!
