Here are some facts which suggest that Hira was his favorite queen.
As we all know she was given title of Mallika-i-Hindustan, Wali Nimat Begum, Maryam Zamani Begum etc that surely meant she was his most special queen.
First of all she has given him a son, that was the chief reason he loved her the most. Second, she was the first begum whom he was not related in any sense. This was an exciting thing for him. He knew Rajputs were bestowed with too many virtues and this he respected. While his own family was conspiring against him, his wife Hira and her relatives remained loyal to him. He knew that his another wife could conspire against him or cheat him but hira even if she hated him(this was not real at all though) could burn herself for her husband's honour. Her faithful love towards Akbar won his heart. Her firm respect for her religion and her courage to keep such demands in front of him also won his respect. Akbar married maryam in his youth, the age when love is at its highest. He was married to ruqayah when he was a child. I guess those who see balika vadhu will understand why their relationship was not so much you know 'blooming love'. With salima it was a pity marriage which ended up in respect and affection.
So that's why he loved maryam the most and was his chief queen. The End đ
