Today, Afghanistan and India seem distant to each other because there is another country Pakistan in the middle. However, that's a very recent thing. Before India-Pakistan partition, Afghanistan and India shared a border, like USA and Canada. And before that, during Akbar's reign, they were part of the same kingdom.

In the show we are watching, Akbar's kingdom ranges from Kabul to Bengal. You are I are subjects of the same King, same queen! :)
