Shikha Singh, best remembered for her role as Amba in Na Aana Iss Des Laado, has been approached to play the main negative role in the upcoming Kumkum Bhagya. Sources say that she has been offered the role of Shabbir Ahluwalia's girlfriend, while Sriti Jha has been paired opposite him. When contacted, Shikha confirmed that she had been approached but was not willing to divulge details. "We are in talks right now and I cannot say anything about it," says Shikha who in the past was also offered the role of Rukaiya, Akbar's main queen in Jodha Akbar.
"Unfortunately I couldn't take it up because I suffered from slip disc," says Shikha. The actress is currently seen playing Shikhandini who will ultimately kill Bheeshma in Mahabharat, as well as a public prosecutor Shikha in Adalat. "It's great to be playing diverse roles even if they are negative," smiles Shikha adding that her looks call for vampish roles. "I have people telling me they are scared of me but that's the challenge, because I am a positive person in life" she quips
