yeah from a common sense point of view it was a silly episode, as you said all the characters were dumbed down a lot...its to obvious that aditi is behind the kidnap...if shlock cant work it out, after all this then he really is plain stupid...his wife shows him a deserted place claiming aditi comes there and his pic was there, aditi comes to his office for a chit chat after all the fuss that happened about aastha apparently being jealous of her and accusing her, she is going through his phone then he gets a message from aastha...then his wife is not home and they send her best friend aditi to check if she is in the room...and he still cant figure out anything...
i had a smile when he says in the precap that he called all her friends...which friends, gauri went off the scene after the first couple of episodes! aastha officially has no friends and how would shlock have got their numbers anyway

having said all that of liked him sticking up for her and talking to her photo etc...

Like others have very aptly said, Aditi's characterisation lacks any logic. It was being made up as they went along and now I fear the writers, who were deliberately stalling the closure to the Swati chapter, will make a grand mess of that angle too. If Shlok's back story is lame like how this track was than the CVs need to be changed. What ever happened to the original writers that scripted the premise of this show.? Why do I feel like I am watching a really mediocre Ekta show all of a sudden?!

Truly, the only elements holding this show together since the botched up Valentine's epi are the leads' chemistry; Sid's introduction into Joyti's arc and the direction. The weak writing and poor editing are seriously bringing down the standard of the show.

Also I agree that if Neha is so sensitive about her 'image' then she shouldn't have attempted to do a negative character. It is after all acting and she should have the confidence to accept that it was a challenge to play a negative character rather than justifying the unjustifiable. She should think of it as diversifying the roles she plays. Better to experiment than to get type casted.

C'mon only blind fans actually attribute the onscreen image to the actor otherwise one knows to distinguish fact from fiction. None of these actors are actually as mahaan as their onscreen characters either but certain fans still glorify them like they are. Puhlease!!!

Anyway, I sincerely hope this is the end of her saga and the show gets back on track to defining the love story of Ashlok with the complexity of the Agnihotri family as the backbone. Nothing worse than watching a potentially great show sink into mediocrity. Especially, when they have only scratched the surface in terms of exploring all characters and their relationships. Far more interested in the back story of NA-Anjali; Kalindi's past; Varad - Sojal's deteriorating marriage and Joyti's new future with Sid than any of this Aditi nonsense.

thanks veracity. @bold thats the only thing i watch for in an episode and i usually ignore all the blunders and bloopers but aditi is staring right in our face.
actually, if they kept aditi's role clear from the beginning without the unwanted suspense and made shlok reveal his past to aastha himself after some life changing event, it would have been better. taking audience to be dumb and trying to drag the story without any purpose is what irritated us all, i guess.

latha,
if he figures out that soon then there won't be any of this unnecessary kidnap drama. so he has to be dumber than aditi and aastha until then. they showed him thinking that the accident on holi day might have been done by someone to hurt aastha. but then he became so laid back and dumb all through the goa trip and even after returning. aditi is free to do whatever she wants with aastha. she doesn't have to do much thinking, in other words, the cvs don't have to think much to write the scenes leading to the kidnap, if they dumb shlok down.
