spoke about his character in Main Tera
Hero'. The young guy, who is called
Sreenath Prasad, is shown to be from
Ooty, with Nilgiri origins. But, his
character does not depict characteristics
of any specific culture. Major portions of
the film were actually shot in the
mountainous regions of Ooty, before
they shift focus on his student days in
Bengaluru. Refuting initial rumours
about him playing a Tamil boy and
talking with an accent in the film,
Dhawan confirmed that he is just
playing a normal guy with no added
accent.
"My character Seenu (as he is fondly
called) is a cool guy and the character
does not have any religion or caste
strings attached. I have spoken normal
Hindi and English in the film, since my
character didn't require any particular
accent. I can't say anything more than
that, but I think every young guy will
relate to him," mentioned Dhawan.
The actor, who recently finished a
multi-city and country tour to promote
the film, is excited about trying out
different genres with his upcoming
films.
