This article is the real feel behind the life of glamour and glitter (Well, atleast for me). The pictures are so raw that they make you think about the fake glamour and glitter than we see. Everyday year there are thousands of movies that come out and all promote this surreal world of glamour, an almost fairytale. Well, it just makes you think about the people that work behind those scenes. Are those people getting their fair due? They do the same amount of work that those actors do. So, what makes their jobs so to say less "glamorous"!

What does glamour really mean? I never understood the definition clearly!

Are we feeding wrong information to the young generation by these 'fake' images of un-real life of actors?

Why do we care so much about lifes of actors rather than others?

Last but not least, the most random ques:

How does photography capture life? (sorry, I love photography and I believe it makes all the difference in the way life of bollywood is captured. Take away the cameras and all we have is people just like us if not more or less luckier!)

Lemme know your thoughts! Or just tell me anything about what you think about life of glamour and glitter?

Awesome pictures!
and great post!!

I think our society lacks role models ...whom do we look upto...no charismatic leaders...our cricketing heroes failed us recently...Bollywood gives us hope in the form of cellloid dreams and somewhere the line between reality and make believe gets blurred..

As for Photography...i think it is the most powerful medium...it gives us a visual and unlike a movie where images keep changing every second, photographs freeze time for us...so each time we look at a picture we have the time to reflect on it and interpret it for ourselves..
they are better than paintings which are imaginations of the painter...photos depict reality and leave the imagination to the viewer!

fantastic response dear! 👏👏.. cud not say it in precise manner. glad to quote u. nice topic manish. this pattern is extended all over show bizz.. even to music industry and related.

Just one coment Ashu againts not having role models. I think we have plenty many, but we don't emphasize on their success and their struggle. There are several successful industrialists, social activists, doctors, scientists and others whose stoies should become part of curriculum. But we are too happy either dwelling in past or focussing on bollywood. (i am not undermining history, but i dislike dwelling there and not looking at present heroes/ achievers)
As I said, every Indian basked in the glory of Kalpana being of Indian origin. But in past 3 years, did anybody make an outstanding documentary film to celebrate her life and success? No, we were busy with Bachchan wedding 😃

^^ thanxs QT that's what I was trying to get at. What about the real life heroes? Everyday people have amazing strengths too but no one seems to care. I guess we can call it the "way of the world". Not the nicest way but I guess that's how it is. Sadly

You are right - everyday people have amazing strength and character. It just needs to be highlighted. The local newspaper here has started running a feature on this, and some of the stories are worth a standing ovation. I guess it's up to us to care.

Thanks Manish 😳
well - said tadakte bhadakte shole ji. 😃
Again, I think the parents and teachers among us can be of positive influence in helping kids with their choices. If mom is busy 24*7 dressing up and acting like Blah in sindoor, Blah in salaam e ishq, and Blah in devdas and bragging about that at parties 😛, with no knowledge of what's happening around them 😊, then what can kids do😭.. Even if mom needs to indulge in such, she must make sure to also participate in what should matter to kids in terms of building their character! "How to make right choices" is what many elders should teach kids.
