The lectures were done by now. Swayam and Sharon were constantly teasing Rey for the morning incident in his room. Taani maintained safe distance from the duo to avoid their teasing. Rey tried getting away from them and meet Taani but failed in his attempts. Finally after a whole day he succeeded in getting away from the duo and was in search of Taani.
Rey was walking in the atrium when a girl approached him with some query. The girl started flirting with Rey. Out of habit he too started flirting with her. Unknown to him, Taani was constantly glaring at him. Sharon saw Taani and slowly went to Rey. By that time the girl had already left.
"Rey" Sharon tapped on his shoulder.
"Now what Sharon?" asked Rey, the irritation getting back.
"Jab koi relation mein hota hai toh usse kisi aur ke saath flirt nahi karna chahiye. Aur apni girlfriend ke saamne toh bilkul nahi" said Sharon.
"What?" asked Rey furrowing his brow.
Sharon pointed at the direction of Taani who had turned red due to anger. Rey realized what Sharon meant and gulped down some air. Rey approached Taani but she fled away. Rey went running behind her to the parking lot.
"Taani ruko.." Rey called out while Taani opened the door of her car.
"Why?" asked Taani banging the door close.
"Ouch!" muttered Rey imagining himself to be the door.
"Tumhe fursat mill gayi mujhse baat karne ki!" Taani said glaring at him.
"Arre yaar voh sube se Sharon aur Swayam mere peeche hi padd gaye the. Abh jaake jaan chuti hai unn dono se!" Rey made a sulking face.
This got a smile on Taani's face, which she immediately hid and came back to the angry mode. Rey had seen her smiling.
'Girlfriend ke hote huye flirt karne ki punishment toh milni hi chahiye!' Taani said in her mind.
'Too bad Taani. Meine tumhe smile karte huye dekh liya tha, so this angry face won't work. Waise gusse mein bhi kitni cute lagti hai..' Rey started adoring Taani.
"Rey!" Taani's voice got him out of his dreamland.
"Haan?"
"Tum kar kya rahe the uss ladki ke saath?" Taani narrowed her eyes.
"Mein kya kar raha tha? Kar toh voh rahi thi!" he winked and continued, "Tumhe pata hai I'm just 10 away from one million."
Taani's jaw dropped hearing this and now real anger filled inside her. Rey saw her expression and immediately spoke.
"Taani, I'm just joking.."
Taani sat in her car and drove away without saying anything to Rey.
'Rey beta tu toh gaya!' Rey too left after her.
Rey was standing in front of Taani's house. He had to talk to Taani, after all they were just into a relationship, and he didn't want this to be their first fight. He knew Taani won't open the door for him so he came up with a plan of going in through the window.
'But uska room kaunsa hai?' he soloquized.
He found a window open upstairs and decided to go in through it.
Meanwhile when Taani returned home she was surprised to find her parents home.
"Mom! Dad! Aap dono kab aaye?" she went and hugged them.
"Kuch der pehle. Kaisa laga surprise?" her dad said hugging Taani tightly.
"I love you two" said Taani.
"Atcha aap dono yahin ruko mein kuch khane ke liye leke aati hoon" saying so Taani left to the kitchen.
Taani came upstairs with some snacks. She entered the room where her parents were seated and heard a loud thud coming from the side of the window. She immediately turned and was shocked to see Rey there.
"Hi" said Rey smiling widely at Taani who looked horrified.
"Tum kaun ho?" asked Mr. Shekhawat.
Rey turned to the direction of the voice. On seeing her parents, Rey's smile vanished in thin air.
"Aur window se kyun aaye ho?" Mr. Shekhawat further inquired.
Rey turned towards Taani for help but she seemed to be enjoying the situation. He tried pleading her but she didn't budge. Taani was suppressing her laughter which was due to the expression on Rey's face.
"Uncle..I mean Sir..voh mein Taani ka.." Rey tried speaking but was cut mid-way.
"Taani ka kya?" Mr. Shekhawat said raising the pitch of his voice.
"Kuch nahi..Taani mein chalta hoon..kal college mein milte hai" saying so Rey ran out of the house.
"Dad.." said Taani and the three burst out laughing.
"Waise ladka toh shareef lag raha tha. Toh yahan aise kyun?" he inquired.
Taani narrated the entire story of how she met Rey, became friends and how she developed love for him. She told him how they came into this relationship, excluding many things from it.
"..I pretended to be angry on him. So mujhe manane ke liye yahan se aagaya." she ended.
"How sweet!" said Mrs. Shekhawat. "Atcha ab chalo change karke aao, hume bahar jana hai."
"Kahan?" asked Taani.
"Mere friend ne hume dinner pe invite kiya hai" said Mr. Shekhawat.
The three got ready and were set to leave for dinner. Taani checked her cell phone and saw a message from Rey saying 'Sorry. I didn't mean to create such situation. I love you.' She smiled seeing it and felt happy to see his love and care for her.
At Singhania mansion Rey was pacing from one end of the room to the other.
"Kya hua Rey bhaiyya?" asked Khushi.
"Ya Rey what happened? Taani bohot naraz hai kya?" asked Sharon biting back a smile.
"Taani nahi but uske parents.." said Rey and continued pacing.
"Parents?" asked Swayam getting confused.
Rey narrated the entire incident. Sharon, Swayam and Khushi burst out into fits of laughter.
"Offo tum log yahan aise kya kar rahe ho? Jao ready hoke aao. Dinner pe mehman aa rahe hai. Aur Sharon, Gautam tumhara wait kar rahe hai ghar pe" said Mrs. Singhania sternly to them.
"What! Dad kab aaye?" asked Sharon.
"Aaj hi. Abh jao aur unko saath leke aa jane dinner ke liye" Mrs. Singhania instructed Sharon.
Sharon went home. Mrs. Singhania made Rey, Swayam and Khushi clean the mess they had created in the living room. After about an hour or so Sharon arrived with her dad. The elders settled in the living room while Rey pulled Sharon along with him upstairs. Swayam and Khushi were in the study.
Taani, along with her parents, was standing outside Singhania mansion.
"Hum yahan?" she asked.
"Haan, Rannvijay Singhania, mera college friend, usne aaj dinner pe bulaya" answered Mr. Shekhawat.
They entered in and all the elders exchanged hugs.
"Arre Taani beta tum?" said Mrs. Singhania.
"Taani tum inhe jaanti ho?" asked Mrs. Shekhawat.
Before Taani could answer Mr. Shekhawat spotted Swayam coming outside the study.
"Tum wahin ho na jo aaj ghar mein ghus aaye the?" he asked Swayam.
Swayam was about to laugh but he controlled while Khushi started laughing. Mr. and Mrs. Singhania were standing there confused.
"Sharon yaar please help" Rey pleaded while coming downstairs with Sharon.
"What help? Window se jaane ki kya jarurat thi? Especially jab uske parents aaye huye the!" said Sharon.
"Toh tumhe kya laga, mein jaake door knock karunga aur kahunga ki 'Taani mujhe sorry bolna hai, please door open karo' aur voh door open karegi? Aur mujhe toh pata bhi nahi tha ki uske parents aaye hai!" Rey made a face at Sharon.
"Mr. Reyansh Singhania, flirt tum kar rahe the. Taani ko gussa tumne dilaya. Uske parents room mein the tabhi room mein entry tumne maari. Toh abh jo bhi karna hai voh tumhe karna hai. I'm not gonna help!" said Sharon and started giggling seeing Rey's sulking face.
"What!" exclaimed Mrs. Singhania hearing the two.
"Haan aunty dekhiye aapke bete ne kya kya karnaame kiye hai! Oh hi Taani..tum yahan?" said Sharon spotting Taani.
Rey froze on stairs on seeing Taani with her parents while Taani was standing there hoping to vanish hearing Sharon's words.
"Arre Rey wahan kya kar rahe ho..neeche aao" said Swayam smiling slyly.
"Hi" Rey greeted everyone while trying to maintain a straight face.
"Rannvijay tere dono bete tujh pe hi gaye hai" said Mr. Rai Prakash.
The elders started laughing while the younger lot was eyeing their parents.
"Matlab?" asked Swayam.
"Matlab yeh ki college ke dino mein yeh (pointing to Mr. Singhania) Rajashree (Mrs. Singhania) ke room mein aise pipe chad ke jaata tha. Aur abh tum dono bhi wahi kar rahe ho" said Mr. Rai Prakash.
"What!" exclaimed Rey and Swayam together.
"Haan aur hume bhi same tips deta rehta tha" said Mr. Shekhawat.
"Gautam, Rishi, chalo khana lag gaya hai" said Mrs. Singhania hiding her blush.
"Hayye.. bhabhi jaan blush kar rahi" Mr. Shekhawat teased further while going towards the dining area.
"Aaj dinner pe maza aane wala hai" said Sharon and the younger lot too joined.
Within a short span of time everyone jelled together. Rey apologized to Mr. and Mrs. Shekhawat for the evening incident while they just overlooked it.
"Yeh sab tum iss umar mein nahi karoge toh kab karoge" said Mr. Shekhawat.
After dinner all gathered in the living room for desserts and were chatting about various stuffs. The elder lot were talking about their college days when they all were together and had loads of fun. While the younger lot was getting shock after shock listening to their tales.
"Itne saalon baad India kaise aana hua?" asked Mr. Singhania.
"Beti ab badi ho gayi hai, uske shaadi ke bare mein sochna hoga ki nai" winked Mr. Shekhawat.
Rey and Taani choked on their dessert.
"Mujhe shaadi nahi karni!" exclaimed Taani.
On seeing Rey's baffled face she added, "I mean itni jaldi shaadi nahi karni."
"Haan beta but hume koi atcha ladka dhundna toh chahiye na" said Mrs. Shekhawat and continued, "Rajashree tumhare zehen mein hai koi atcha ladka?"
"Haan hain na" said Mrs. Singhania looking towards Rey who pulled up his collars hearing her. She continued, "Mr. Verma ka beta Karan. Bohot hi honhar hai."
Rey again choked on hearing his own mother and started coughing. Taani quickly ran to the kitchen for water seeing his condition. She came out and made Rey drink water with her hands. She was rubbing her hand on his back to soothe him. Others were smiling looking at the duo.
"I don't think Mr. Verma se baat karne ki jarurat hogi.." said Mrs. Shekhawat watching the duo.
"Rey you fine?" asked Mrs. Singhania.
"Ya. But next time please ek warning de dena aise bomb chodne se pehle" said Rey.
All smiled hearing him.
"Okay, so I know where this conversation is leading to.." started Rey, "I know aap sab chahate hai ki hum settle ho jaye, but we aren't ready as yet."
"I second it!" said Swayam.
"We too!" said Taani and Sharon.
"None of us is ready for commitment" said Swayam.
"Yeah, pehle hum studies khatam karna chahate hai" said Taani.
"Aur hum kuch banne ke baad hi shaadi karenge" said Sharon.
"Aur mujhe aur ice cream chahiye" said Khushi making everyone giggle.
"Nahi Khushi tum beemar pad jaogi" said Rey.
Khushi made a sad face and sat quietly. Taani placed her ice cream in Khushi's bowl and Rey rolled his eyes seeing it.
"As you all wish. No one will speak of marriage until you yourself agree to it" said Mrs. Singhania with a reassuring smile.
"Tum log yaha baithe baithe bore ho jaoge. Jao ghum aao" said Mrs. Shekhawat.
"Aaacchhooo.." sneezed Khushi.
"Kaha tha na no more ice cream" said Rey looking at Taani who mouthed a 'Sorry'.
"Khushi tum bahar nahi aa rahi. In your room now!" Rey instructed Khushi. She obeyed silently and went to sleep in her room.
Rey, Taani, Swayam and Sharon came out of the house. Sharon and Swayam went different ways. Rey and Taani were walking quietly in the garden. Rey broke the silence.
"Voh mein.." Rey wanted to apologize for the day's incidents.
"Shoo..kuch mat kaho" Taani said placing her finger on his lips.
Rey kissed her finger and she quickly removed it.
"Blush karte huye tum aur bhi pretty lagti ho" Rey said making Taani blush even more.
After a while Taani said, "Rey humne bol toh diya ki hum itni jaldi shaadi nahi karenge but don't you think ki humare parents yeh koshish nahi karenge?"
"Kyun mujhse itni jaldi tang aa gayi" said Rey pulling Taani closer by her waist. "Tumhe mujhe for lifetime jhelna hai" he said snuggling closer to her and kissed her jawline.
"Rey kya kar rahe ho..koi dekh lega" Taani tried going away but was pulled back by Rey.
"Yahan koi nahi aane wala" said Rey and pulled Taani more close plastering her with him.
Their breaths were fanning each other's face. Both of them wanted the time to stop and never go ahead. They were lost in each other's eyes which were shinning brightly due to the happiness in them. Rey leaned forward and placed his lips on hers and started caressing her lips slowly. Taani completely gave herself in the kiss. Rey bit her lower lip asking for entrance in her mouth but she didn't open her mouth. A smirk played on her lips while Rey groaned. He bit again, this time harder, and Taani hissed in pain. Rey gained entry into her mouth and had a smirk on his lips. He caressed her lip soothing away her pain. He explored all corners of her mouth and entangled his tongue with her's teasing her. They were smiling within the kiss.
They continued teasing and kissing while the moon shone brightly on them..
