This Is What PaRud Is All About

I have been a silent member of this forum since the show started and I have come across a lot of brilliant posts, which I have thoroughly enjoyed reading, which why looking at the posts of the past few days I couldn't resist coming up with this post about PaRud.

After last night's episode I see a lot of members quite upset on Rudra's behalf and questioning Paro's actions. Now my post is not to change anyone's opinion, but to post my own POV.

When the show started we were well aware of how dark this show and tracks will be, and most importantly, the first episode itself emphasized on Paro and Rudra's characters, and how they were going to be shaped and for what reasons. In my opinion Paro & Rudra are a lot alike, maybe not character wise, but mostly because of the way they lives have been shaped and under what circumstances they grew up. Paro was taught how to hate BSD since childhood because she was told that that it was BSD who killed her parents. Same with Rudra, he was taught from young age to distrust and hate beautiful women, so however Paro tries to prove herself innocent Rudra would always find her guilty of something or the other.

The difference between their upbringing is that Paro was fortunate enough to be brought up by her MamiSa with a lot of love, care and affection, where Rudra was brought up by his dad, who was a bitter man and use to drown his sorrows in alcohol, leaving Rudra to grow up without any love or emotional support.

If we look at Rudra's actions before when he was trying to convince Paro to sign the confession papers and we look at Paro's actions now, I see know difference. He was ruthless in his actions, because not only his own honor was at stake, but also the honor of his soldiers, so it didn't matter to him about what lengths he goes to make it happen, even force Paro to marry him, because he knew he was RIGHT. He believed it with every fiber of his being. Same is the case with Paro, she believes with every core of her heart that she and Rudra belong together, that is why her love for Rudra is almost like worship. Another factor which makes her want to be with him, is that only she has been able to see the vulnerable side of Rudra, who longs for his mother and her love. She just not want to love Rudra and comfort him, but she also wants to love and comfort the child in him, who is so desperate for love and affection. The only difference is that Rudra was deliberate n his attempts to prove his point, whereas Paro's actions are result of her innocent nature and her complete devotion to Rudra.

I felt Paro's pain earlier when she was suffering at Rudra's hands, and now I can feel Rudra's pain too, but this is what PaRud is all about. Since the day their lives got entangled at the bus stop, they have been forced by destiny time and time again to meet. They are not only destined to meet and fall in love, but they are also destined to fill the void in each others lives, and heal each others wounds, especially the ones they have given to each other, either consciously or unconsciously.

Yes they both have gone through tough times, but I guess that's what makes them soul mates because can relate to each other the way no one else can, that is why they always end up opening up to each other, without even wanting too.

Welcome to forum dear.

Lovely post. You've explained their sides beautifully.

Same with Rudra, he was taught from young age to distrust and hate beautiful women, so however Paro tries to prove herself innocent Rudra would always find her guilty of something or the other.

Earlier it was Paro who believed Rudra and BSD were on the wrong side, despite Rudra's repeated efforts to make her see the truth. Now it's Rudra's turn to realize that beautiful women aren't treacherous.

Paro and Rudra are both victims but they are victims of fate. Neither of them are responsible for victimizing the other because it was not their intention to do so.

So true !! Now the only difference is that Paro's character and circumstances is such that upon finding out the truth of ThakurSa, she immediately realized her mistake in not trusting Rudra, because her character is flexible, and not rigid like Rudra's, that is why PaRud's relationship depicts Shiv-Parvati, because time and time again Paro will have to prove her love and loyalty to Rudra until the day he gets over his hatred of beautiful women and that will only happen when he finds out the truth about why his mom left him and he forgives her, which is a long time coming.

What a wonderful post 👏
Totally agree with everything you said so eloquently.

Neither can be blamed as they are merely victims of sorts of their upbringing. Rudra and Paro's actions knowingly or unknowingly thus far have lead them to this fate.

Please write more often as you really a Good at it 😃
