'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2' brings in record ratings

Since Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Baar Phi' launched it has struggled to compete with other primetime shows but still made an impact in the weekday 18:00 slot on Star Plus.

However, last night the show was too big a pull beating some old favourites on the channel for the first time. According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon - Ek Baar Phir' at 18:00 raked in 178,500 viewers - the biggest ever audience for the show. It peaked further to a record 214,700 viewers. It was the biggest ever audience for that time slot on any UK Asian TV channel.

Diya Aur Baati Hum' remained the top show in the UK with 197,600 viewers, followed by Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' with 191,200 viewers.

On Colors, BeIntehaa' at 21:00 impressed with another ratings success. It pulled in 117,800 viewers, followed by Rangrasiya' with 102,300 viewers.

On Rishtey, Laagi Tujhse Lagan' was the top show with 91,300 viewers, followed by Parichay' at 20:00 with 72,400 viewers and Na Aana Iss Desh Laado' with 67,800 viewers.

On Star Life Ok, Tumhari Paakhi' was the top show with a high of 66,100 viewers, followed by Welcome 2 with 43,100 viewers and new show Naadan Parinde' with 27,900 viewers at 21:00.
